    Brentford 1-0 Swansea

Swansea's Jamal Lowe did have a curled effort saved by David Raya at the start of the half but it's been fairly quite since.

Swansea are enjoying more of ball now.

  2. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Bournemouth

And more pressure from Bournemouth through David Brooks and Joshua King one again.

King has a one-on-one blocked by Owls keeper Joe Wildsmith and then Brooks sees the rebound blocked by Julian Borner who is the covering defender.

Elias Kachunga then heads wide once again at the other end from another Barry Bannan cross.

  3. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Blackburn 0-0 Middlesbrough

Marcus Tavernier whips the ball in for Boro and both Britt Assombalonga and George Saville attack the ball but it goes wide.

At the other end Ben Brereton breaks free from his man and has a pop but he skies it over, he put way too much power into that.

  4. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth out the blocks the quicker in the second half at Hillsborough.

David Brooks and Joshua King both driving towards goal and King almost sets up a dangerous cross low to the back post for Diego Rico to finish, but the full-back just can't time his run to meet it at full stretch.

    Huddersfield 1-0 Bristol City

Early stages of the second half at the John Smith's Stadium where the Terriers have the lead.

Bristol City without a win in their past five games and looking to do all they can to reverse that poor run of form.

Plenty for boss Dean Holden to ponder.

AFC Wimbledon are off the mark at the new Plough Lane as Joe Pigott gets the first goal at the new ground against Doncaster.

In the north east, Ipswich have levelled at Sunderland as Jack Lankester makes it 1-1 there.

  7. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Blackburn 0-0 Middlesbrough

Britt Assombalonga really should have scored for Middlesbrough.

The corner comes in at the far post and Assombalonga meets it with his head but he loops it over the bar.

    Some chance that.

    Cardiff 1-0 Barnsley

    Gareth Vincent

New Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael cuts an imposing figure on the touchline.

In fairness he has had much to smile about since taking over at Oakwell, with the Tykes winning his first two games at the helm and keeping clean sheets in the process.

But after the first opposition goal of the Ismael era came early on at the Cardiff City Stadium, the former Crystal Palace centre-back has not look impressed.

In truth there has been little between the sides so far, but Ismael wants more from Barnsley as they try to respond to Junior Hoilett's close-range finish.

  9. Postpublished at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Cardiff City 1-0 Barnsley

Meanwhile in modern Cardiff City fortunes, the Bluebirds have gone close again in this one.

Curtis Nelson meets a corner from the right with his head, but can't quite direct enough power on it to get through the Barnsley defenders or past goalkeeper Jack Walton.

Owain Evans: Eddie Johnson! Cardiff City cult hero with his 2 goals in a 30 match long spell! The roar when he finally scored his first goal against Doncaster was amazing - his only other goal came in a game he also scored an own goal! Eddie is a Bluebird

  11. Postpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Cardiff City 1-0 Barnsley

Early observation in this one, other than the fact the hosts have made the stronger start, is that there's an unnecessary away kit change from Barnsley.

Cardiff in blue, as you'd expect, playing Barnsley in a second strip of white shirts and black shorts.

What's wrong with the Tykes' traditional red shirt?

    League One latest

At half-time in most of tonight's League One games, Portsmouth, Peterborough and Plymouth are all in front, while it's 2-2 in a cracker at the Valley between Charlton and Fleetwood.

Meanwhile, kicking off at 19:45, AFC Wimbledon are back playing at Plough Lane at long, long last - what a moment for them. It's 0-0 there, with Doncaster the first visitors to the Dons' new ground.

  13. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Blackburn 0-0 Middlesbrough

Blackburn have started well particularly Harvey Elliott in midfield but the first chance fell to Middlesbrough man Jonny Howson who had an effort well held by Aynsley Pears.

  14. Postpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Cardiff City 1-0 Barnsley

Strong start continues from Cardiff as Robert Glatzel has a glancing header that just goes wide of the left post.

Harry Wilson with the dangerous cross from the right on this occasion.

GOAL: Cardiff City 1-0 Barnsleypublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Junior Hoilett (4 mins)

Cardiff with an early goal and Junior Hoilett pounces on the half-volley in the area.

Leandro Bacuna's cross from the left was not headed clear and Hoilett reacted quickest on the edge of the six-yard box to hammer it home left footed.

Sunderland's game against Ipswich kicked off a bit late after an issue with some 'external broadcasting infrastructure' but the Black Cats are 1-0 up thanks to Charlie Wyke's early strike.

Meanwhile, Burton still lead 1-0 up at Shrewsbury, deep in second-half stoppage time now, in the early kick-off.
