That is all from us on a fine evening for Bristol City and a frustrating one for Cardiff City.

A depleted Robins side made it two away victories in three days to climb back up to second in the Championship.

They can enjoy the international break.

Cardiff, by contrast, will be left frustrated after a third home defeat of the campaign. Their stuttering start to 2020-21 continues.

  2. 'I feel like I have had my wallet pinched'published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    FT: Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Cardiff manager Neil Harris told Sky Sports: "I feel like I have had my wallet pinched out of my pocket, I have got to be honest.

"We have dominated everything. One misplaced pass in the second minute and the ball goes in our goal.

"We have had 17 chances, dominated possession. Frist half some of our football was outstanding and second half we had moments.

"Ultimately goals win games, but it's a hard one to take.

"There is no lack of quality in my team. It just didn't go for us tonight."

  3. I am so proud - Holdenpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    FT: Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Bristol City head coach Dean Holden told Sky Sports: "People started getting a little bit edgy when we were on that little winless run.

"But we have had two away games on the spin, two wins, with the players we've got missing - eight players tonight. It's an incredible team spirit we have got.

"The goal was real quality. That's how we want to play. Then they are throwing balls into our box with so much quality - Wilson, Ralls - and they have big target men who are up there as the best in the division.

"We had to fight for everything and I am just so proud of the performance."

Bristol City moved up to second in the Championship thanks to a 1-0 derby win in the Welsh capital.

The Robins led inside two minutes after Chris Martin tapped home from close range from Antoine Semenyo's cross.

Cardiff created numerous chances to at least grab a point, but could not find a way past the inspired Daniel Bentley.

  5. A massive shift - Kalaspublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    FT Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Bristol City captain Tomas Kalas told Sky Sports: "We were waiting for the fortunes to turn around and I would say it's coming back.

"Going into the international break with two hard-fought wins - it's a massive six points.

"Here it would be difficult to defend for 10 minutes, never mind 88 or whatever it was. It was a massive shift from everyone."

  6. A big result for the Robinspublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2020

    FT Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

That is a big result for Bristol City who, after a five-game winless streak, have triumphed twice on the road this week.

They went ahead right at the start through Chris Martin and created very little from that moment on, but Dean Holden's celebrations at the final whistle proved he did not care a jot.

His team dug in to fend off Cardiff, who sent numerous balls into the Robins' box but lacked attacking inspiration.

The result is more frustration for Neil Harris, whose team failed to build on Tuesday's win over Barnsley.

Cardiff have now lost three times at home in the league this season - the same number of Championship losses on their patch they suffered throughout 2019-20.
