Callum O'Dowda may be a converted winger, but he is enjoying the midfield battle here.

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Cardiff waste a big chance to level things up.

Harry Wilson crosses from the right and Robert Glatzel somehow ends up heading the ball away from goal.

It drops towards Joe Ralls but, under pressure and on his weaker side, he lifts a shot over.

Callum O'Dowda tries his luck again, this time from a long way out.

He strikes the ball well but it sails over the bar.

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Fair play to Dean Holden, he is not wearing a jacket on the touchline - and it is pretty fresh in south Wales this evening.

Clearly the scoreline is warming his heart.

    Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

    HT: Cardiff 0-1 Bristol City

Bristol City created very little going forward in that first half, but they lead thanks to a smart move which saw Nahki Wells switch the play before Antoine Semenyo's good work teed up Chris Martin.

That was the visitors' only effort on target so far.

Cardiff have huffed and puffed in search of a response and Bristol City lived dangerously a couple of times, particularly at set-pieces.

Neil Harris needs some more quality from his forward players - or one of those dead balls to produce a leveller.
