With regards to it being a title decider, if we're being honest, if anyone is actually going to finish higher than these two teams then they will win the league. In regards to the importance of points needed especially after the past three or four seasons with Liverpool only losing around three or four games, this is a lot more important than suggests with regards to points.

The styles of each team almost compliment each other in certain ways and it's probably the only game where both teams adapt to the other team, other games they probably just expect to win but I think there's a lot of respect between these two teams.

  2. 'Rodgers will be pleased with that against a real rival this season'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    FT: Leicester 1-0 Wolves

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester dominated the first half, they could've been 2-0 ahead such was their dominance and then when they were asked to defend by Wolves in the second half they did. Wesley Fofana was outstanding, Jonny Evans battled through considering his injuries, Christian Fuchs was operating in different positions and when you called upon him, when you needed your goalkeeper to make a crucial save Kasper Schmeichel did it yet again. Brendan Rodgers will be really pleased with that against a team you'd call a real rival this season.

  3. 'Obviously being top means we're doing well'published at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2020

    Leicester 1-0 Wolves

    Leicester City

Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel speaking to Sky Sports: "That's what you work on as a keeper, it's what I'm there for. The whole team defended brilliantly all game - they had one or two chances and that was it.

"I think any goal is really important but obviously when you're in the ascendancy we need to score. We could maybe put the game to bed with the chances we created, we knew the second half would be tough and we're really happy with this win."

On the handball rule: "It's obviously difficult and a difficult call for the referees but the whole interpretation for the handball rule. I don't think anyone really knows it - its on the day whatever VAR and the referee feels."

On going top of the table: "It's early in the season and I don't think there's any point in looking at the table yet but obviously it means we're doing well."

I know I never usually tip Liverpool to lose but I just feel like it is a massive game for both defences and this time it is the Reds who have the uncertainty at the back.

It is not a good time for Liverpool to be going to the Etihad while they are trying to build a new partnership at the back because any mistake they make will be pounced upon.

That's why I am going for City to win. Liverpool went into this round of fixtures on top of the table so there is no suggestion they are struggling - it is just they are not at their very best at the moment.

They are going to lose games and the title race is going to be tighter than last year, I have no doubts about that.

Liverpool will still cause City problems on Sunday too, though. Aymeric Laporte and Ruben Dias have looked solid at the back so far, but they haven't been properly tested yet.

That will happen here - and it not just about the two centre-backs, it is the whole back four who get a workout when you play Liverpool. They come at you from all angles and if there is a weakness, they sniff it out.
