Josh Magennis has gone through the middle and Gavin Whyte, on for Conor Washington, will play down the right, with Niall McGinn on the left.

It is a straight swap in midfield with Jordan Thomson on to bring an end to a bad night at the office for George Saville.

The early pressure the home side were applying at the start of the second half has faded, as the enthusiasm of the crowd.

Let's hope these changes can add a spark.

If anything, it looks like Slovakia who are growing into the half. They are moving the ball around nicely, getting into space and Northern Ireland are dropping deeper.

    Slovakia look comfortable.

  3. 'Northern Ireland out of ideas'published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

There''s no belief in the Northern Ireland side at the minute, I'm not saying they're not trying but it's almost as though there's a resignation in the side that they're not going to get back into the game. They just don't seem to have any ideas as to how to break Slovakia down.

It's played diagonally over to Michal Duris, who controls it nicely then nutmegs Stuart Dallas on the left.

He gains a yard to shoot but it's blocked.

  10. 'Northern Ireland too stressed'published at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Northern Ireland 0-1 Slovakia

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

Northern Ireland are too stressed, particularly up front they need to go 4-4-2 and put Slovakia under pressure. Look at the front three they've got one on the right hand side, one on the left and Josh Magennis on his own in the middle and they can't get anything in to him.

    Northern Ireland 0-1 Slovakia

Slovakia have calmed things down now. They rode the early spell of pressure in this second half and are just taking the sting out of things now.

Jonny Evans has to get a foot in on the edge of the box to stop Marek Hamsik, before goalscorer Juraj Kucka has a go from long range. Wide.

Peter Pekarík just creeps in behind Jamal Lewis and touches it back to an unmarked Albert Rusnak in the box.

He steadies himself to shoot but the flag has gone up for offside.

  15. Bit more like itpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Northern Ireland 0-1 Slovakia

    Mark Sterling
BBC Sport NI at Windsor Park

Now, Northern Ireland are starting to play.

Whether the nerves have gone or Ian Baraclough gave them a clear message at the break, but they've been on the front foot and got right at Slovakia since half-time.

As we said before the interval, the visiting defence look like they could have a mistake in them - Northern Ireland just need to keep pressing.

Conor Washington and George Saville could both have done better with chances, but the good news is that NI are now creating those chances.

The crowd are enjoying a lot more, too. They know their team is far from beaten here.

  16. 'Better pressure from Northern Ireland'published at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2020

    Northern Ireland 0-1 Slovakia

    John O'Neill
Former Northern Ireland defender on BBC Radio Ulster

That's the type of pressure Northern Ireland need to put Slovakia under, if they can get a goal and get back on level terms then we might see these lot wobble.

Jonny Evans chips it into Josh Magennis in the box. He tries to flick it on to Conor Washington but he won't get there.

Stanislav Lobotka then gifts it straight to George Saville in the middle. He feeds it through to Washington but it's slightly behind him.

He has to take a touch, readjust his feet and hit it quickly. It's straight at the keeper. What a chance though!
