Mr Thompson: Corey Blackett-Taylor is a player. Think he’s a number 9 rather than wide. Murombedzi looks very good too. Could clearly play at a higher level.

Matt Lowe loses the ball for Brackley and Tranmere play it through midfield nicely. It comes over to Corey Blackett-Taylor on the left but his whipped ball in is too high.

It's Ethan Coleman who gets his head on it but he's off balanced and it doesn't trouble the keeper.

Matt Lowe does really well against Liam Ridehalgh on the right for Brackley and he wins a free-kick.

    Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Brackley Town

Ethan Coleman is in the right place at the right time again to block the cross from the left after another good run from Corey Blackett-Taylor, who has come out the blocks firing in the second half.

    The corner comes to nothing.

Quick start from Tranmere. Corey Blackett-Taylor cuts inside from the left, plays a one-two but lets it roll to Kieron Morris.

He wasn't expecting it and snatches at the shot from the edge of the box, dragging it miles wide.

I don't think Keith Hill will have been impressed by Tranmere's performance - they've been a little bit slow. They started well but they haven't tested the Brackley keeper enough.

Remember if it stays like this after 90 minutes, we go to extra time and potentially a penalty shootout to decide the winner. No replays.

After this match, you can watch “When Lineker Met Maradona” on BBC Two and on BBC iPlayer.

First transmitted in 2006, the documentary sees Gary Lineker traveling to Buenos Aires to meet and chat to Maradona about the 1986 World Cup quarter final between Argentina and England. And of course, THAT Hand of God goal.

Brackley are playing on the counter-attack and Lee Ndlovu, upfront, is really strong and he's just holding the ball up.

It's been a really good game. I didn't know what to expect before the game, Tranmere were strong favourites, but Brackley have shown what they can do.

  13. 'Murombedzi has been outstanding'published at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

Defensively Brackley have been fantastically - the way they've set up. Shepherd Murombedzi in the midfield has been outstanding.

Tranmere had a lot of the ball but Brackley have got back into positions so quickly.

  14. 'We've given ourselves a chance'published at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

    BBC Two

Brackley Town manager Kevin Wilkin on BBC Two: "We've been organised. We're aware of their threat, but we've been disciplined, we've worked hard on our space behind the units. We've worked hard and we've given ourselves a chance.

"We've got to be aware that Tranmere are going to have moments in the game, but we've realised there will be times in the game that we can exploit. It's intense and the work-rate has to stay there and that will be the challenge for us."

"We need to play on the counter and thus far the lads have done what we've asked them to do," says Brackley boss Kevin Wilkin at half time.

He also describes his players as "pit-bullers". Nice.

Brackley Town are holding their own so far!

Just one minute of added time. An intriguing half but I wouldn't mind a goal now to spice it up!

Reiss McNally pumps one long for Lee Ndlovu. He's battling against Peter Clarke but the Tranmere defender watches the bounce carefully and nods it away.

    Cool, experienced defending.

  19. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Brackley Town

Otis Khan's shot is blocked by Reiss McNally but it's not fully cleared by Brackley.

Shane Byrne then slides in to take it off Corey Blackett-Taylor just as he's about to shoot. Excellent tackle!

Tre Mitford has been excellent for Brackley. We've spoken about how good he is at dribbling. Tranmere are giving him far too much time on the ball - that's what you want as a winger.
