Brackley don't look out of sorts in this opening 15 minutes. They are throwing bodies forward. I thought they might be more compact.

    Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Brackley Town

James Armson makes a bursting run through a crowd of Tranmere players after he turns Jay Spearing. He's eventually bundled over.

Moments later, it falls to Tre Mitford, who cuts onto his left and smashes it from the edge of the box. It flies dangerously over the bar with Scott Davies scrambling...

Brackley have made a positive start!

Good chance for Tranmere. It's whipped in from the right by Liam Feeney and James Vaughan tries to overhead kick it.

Kieron Morris is following up, looking to shoot on the rebound, but the whistle goes for a high boot from Vaughan, who had failed to make any contact.

Brackley's corner doesn't beat the first man and Tranmere try to break down the left. New signing Reiss McNally comes sliding across to make the tackle and gets a big "WELL DONE" from his boss on the touchline.

Good defending from Shane Byrne, who is alert when Otis Khan is slipped through in the box.

The Brackley defender picks up the cut-back, coolly takes it around the oncoming James Vaughan and clears it.

Lee Ndlovu shows his strength - pushing off the challenge of one defender, bundling through another and winning a corner with a deflected strike.

It's headed away by Jay Spearing, then James Vaughan before Tre Mitford fires one well over the bar.

James Vaughan tries to make a run in behind for Tranmere but he's not picked out. Brackley drop straight back into their 4-4-2 formation and win it on the right.

Matt Lowe looks to get past in the corner but he's stopped by Tranmere's Emmanuel Monthe.

Brackley forward Lee Ndlovu puts some early pressure on the Tranmere defence but it's dealt with comfortably.

As expected, it's the higher-ranked side who are controlling possession in the opening few minutes.

Tranmere Rovers v Brackley Town (19:55 GMT)

    BBC Two

Tranmere boss Keith Hill speaking to BBC Two: "It is about attitude and application - that is very important. We will obviously give them a lot of respect.

"We have selected a side that we have for the last three games so we have that continuity but we're really excited and we're well prepared.

"There's no wholesale changes that are needed. The players are happy and are working hard. Everybody is in a happy place. It was good to come in. I had a lot of time to digest everything and just add to it. There's a unity in and around the stadium. It's been really impressive how close-knit it is.

"It's massive. It's an opportunity to progress and play against bigger opposition. From a financial point of view, it's a good opportunity to get that prize money that's on offer."

  14. No replays but penalties?published at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

Tranmere Rovers v Brackley Town (19:55 GMT)

There will be no FA Cup replays during the 2020-21 season to "ease pressure" on the football calendar.

In the second round, ties level after 90 minutes will have an additional 30 minutes of extra time. If there is still no winner then they will be decided by a penalty shootout.

    Micah Richards
Former Man City defender on BBC Two

I played against James Vaughan when he was at Everton. He was really talented but just had too many injuries. He's overcome them now. His character is amazing. He chases lost causes. I'm glad to see him playing with a smile on his face. He's scored 10 goals this season and is enjoying himself.

  16. How much is it worth?published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

Winning clubs in this second round will each receive £25,500 from the FA prize fund, with each losing club pocketing £8,500.

Losing teams will receive a share of prize money to lessen the financial impact of ties all being played behind closed doors.

Chris Wilkinson: Can see Brackley Town winning away at Tranmere tonight in the FA Cup. They are a big, fast and physical side with a striker in Lee Ndlovu who can create any teams problems.

  18. 'I don't want them switching off'published at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2020

Tranmere Rovers v Brackley Town (19:55 GMT)

    BBC Two

Brackley Town boss Kevin Wilkin speaking to BBC Two: "I just want to keep them focused on set-pieces. I don't want them switching off so I'm always on their case, trying to live the moment with them.

"It's been a bumpy ride to say the least. We've been lucky enough to have home ties. We are delighted to be here and hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves tonight.

"It's on Tranmere tonight and hopefully that can play in our favour. Nearly everyone is fit. My captain [Gareth Dean] is very good. Lee Ndlovu up front is progressing really well. We have some good lads who work hard for each other, are humble and will hopefully do the job tonight.

"We hoped they would! [Tranmere fielding a weaker team] Fair play. They are respecting the competition. They are in fantastic form and will be a tough team to overcome tonight."
