  6. Can Celtic respond?published at 20:59

    HT: Celtic 0-2 Sparta Prague

You'd imagine Neil Lennon would have had some choice words for his Celtic side's defending... and a lack of cutting edge in front of goal.

Two goals down at the break and only a point from their opening two games in the group.

They'll be looking for a response.

Celtic have been the architects of their own downfall. Their passing has been hopeless. They have to come out flying now in the second half they've got nothing to lose.

This is embarrassing for Celtic. It's one mistake after another for the goals. Sparta must think that there's more goals in this because Celtic can't defend.

Totally uninspiring. It's the polar opposite of the game on Sunday [the Scottish Cup victory against Aberdeen]. All the momentum from that game has gone. This leaves them in dire straits in terms of the Europa League.

That's schoolboy defending. Frimpong had just made a big run up the pitch but he's jogging back which puts everyone out of position. It's terrible defending.

  11. HALF-TIME Celtic 0-2 Sparta Praguepublished at 20:48

Sparta Prague have set the cat amongst the pigeons. After a bright opening for Celtic, the visitors have grown in confidence and enjoy a two-goal lead at the break, courtesy of two predatory strikes by Lukas Julis and more than a little slack defending.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 43 mins

It's the perfect ball and the perfect run. Elyounoussi does that so well coming in behind the full-back and he's unlucky it hits the bar. The keeper had no chance.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 37 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Sparta Prague

Celtic think they've fashioned out an equaliser as Mo Elyounoussi latches onto Ryan Christie's superb diagonal ball.

But the Norwegian sees his effort beat the goalkeeper but clip the crossbar on its way out for a goal kick.

Elyounoussi punches the turf in frustration.

    Celtic 0-1 Sparta Prague

Sparta Prague have defended really well, especially in the 1v1 situations. Celtic have to be sharper and get the ball into Edouard's feet faster.

  17. Familiar Celtic frailties...published at 20:35

    Celtic 0-1 Sparta Prague

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

After a decent opening 20 minutes or so, Celtic can have no complaints about being behind. There was a five-minute spell in which Sparta peppered the home goal, forcing two saves from Scott Bain and hitting bar and post before finally finding the net. Celtic not protecting the ball enough, and not protecting their own goal enough in Europe, a familiar frailty so far this season.

It's not even that good a ball in but the Celtic players are static for the flick on and then again when it drop to Julis. Credit to Sparta becuase it has been coming but really poor from Celtic

Well how many chances have they had in the last few minutes? Celtic have not been able to defend a set piece properly again.
