Both clubs come into this match on the back of two straight defeats in the Championship.

Coventry, narrowly missed out on a point at Nottingham Forest and Watford, losing to penalties in the 97th and 83rd minutes respectively.

However, the Sky Blues have won just one of their past nine games.

Birmingham's back-to-back losses came at home against Wycombe and Bournemouth.

The Blues, who conceded a 92nd-minute own goal against the Chairboys, had won two in a row before those reverses.

It's a strange one for Birmingham City this evening.

They are the away side, but Coventry are ground-sharing St Andrew's while their exile from the Ricoh Arena continues.

So the Blues, up against their tenants, should feel right at home.

But Aitor Karanka's men have lost three of their six home games this season, while they have only been beaten once in five matches away from home.

This is the first league meeting between the two clubs since the 2011-12 campaign.
