Wait a minute, here's a chance for Scotland as Oli McBurnie snaffles up possession from a Slovakia slip. He knocks the ball into the path of Leigh Griffiths but it just rolls away from the striker and a defender gets there before him on the edge of the box.

Quote MessageIt just gets more difficult. They've got plenty of men back, they've got a decent shape and there's just not too much room. Scotland are still chapping at the door. At this stage, a draw would be a good result for us

A horrible hack at the heels of Ryan Christie from home left-back Robert Mazan.
Slovakia 1-0 Scotland
A deep cross from Kieran Tierney falls for Leigh Griffiths inside the penalty box but the sub has a tame prod at it with his weaker right foot. Scotland keep the pressure up and a shot from Stuart Armstrong is deflected wide.

It's just not happening for Scotland at the moment as they struggle to find any cohesion.

Steve Clarke is going for it now, with striker Leigh Griffiths on for defender Andrew Considine.

Quote MessageThe half-time team talk has been to play the higher line and try and get more midfield players in contact with the front three, which is really progressive play from Scotland
Slovakia 1-0 Scotland
Scotland are sitting off a bit around their own penalty area and Marek Hamik has plenty of time to line up a shot. Straight at Craig Gordon this time.
Slovakia 1-0 Scotland
A nice move from Scotland culminates with Stuart Armstrong smashing a low ball in from the right. Kenny McLean is leaning back as it reaches him near the penalty spot and he can only blaze wide.

Jan Gregus fancies a second goal as he lets fly from 20 yards but this time his shot goes high and wide.

Quote MessageI'm hopeful that we can win this match. I feel that there's enough there and we've got enough control of the game. If we had a little bit more composure in the penalty box, we would've scored one, maybe two goals by now
HT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland
Scotland have definitely been the more menacing side, so it's frustrating to be behind but there are reasons to be cheerful and positive about finding a way back.
Oli McBurnie has had a couple of chances but was just a fraction too slow to get a shot away before his firm header went straight at the keeper.
Liam Palmer also had a good sight at goal but went with his right foot when it was all set up for a left foot finish.
