It just gets more difficult. They've got plenty of men back, they've got a decent shape and there's just not too much room. Scotland are still chapping at the door. At this stage, a draw would be a good result for us

The half-time team talk has been to play the higher line and try and get more midfield players in contact with the front three, which is really progressive play from Scotland

    Quote Message

I'm hopeful that we can win this match. I feel that there's enough there and we've got enough control of the game. If we had a little bit more composure in the penalty box, we would've scored one, maybe two goals by now

  20. Reasons for optimismpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November 2020

    HT: Slovakia 1-0 Scotland

Scotland have definitely been the more menacing side, so it's frustrating to be behind but there are reasons to be cheerful and positive about finding a way back.

Oli McBurnie has had a couple of chances but was just a fraction too slow to get a shot away before his firm header went straight at the keeper.

Liam Palmer also had a good sight at goal but went with his right foot when it was all set up for a left foot finish.
