  3. Postpublished at 79mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen at last have a shot on target.

However, when Matty Kennedy's cross finds Curtis Main lurking in the six-yard box, the striker sends a tame flick into the welcoming arms of goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

  4. Postpublished at 76mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

So close to a fifth for Rangers as Ianis Hagi's cross finds the head of James Tavernier at the far corner of the six-yard box.

The right-back's looping header sails over goalkeeper Joe Lewis, but Tommie Hoban's bonce flicks it just clear of the back post.

  5. All change!published at 73mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

The changes continue as fit-again Aberdeen midfielder Dean Campbell is sent on for his first appearance of the season in place of striker Sam Cosgrove.

Striker Cedric Itten and midfielder Ianis Hagi are on for Rangers in place of Kemar Roofe and Joe Aribo.

  7. Kent and Morelos restedpublished at 65mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard starts the resting of players ahead of Thursday's Europa League trip to Portugal to face Benfica.

Jermain Defoe is on for an Alfredo Morelos who looks as glum as you would imagine from a player who hates to be replaced at the best of times but especially when he hasn't hit the net yet.

Glen Kamara comes into midfield in place of Ryan Kent.

  8. Main on for Edmondsonpublished at 62mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes makes a change up front, with Curtis Main replacing on-loan Leeds striker Ryan Edmondson, who has been fairly anonymous today.

    Quote Message

If I was playing, I'd definitely have been booked by now because I would have kicked someone to try to get a reaction out of myself, out of my team-mates. But they're so passive at the moment, Aberdeen, no-one is even putting in any challenge

  10. Postpublished at 60mins

    Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen

A bit of pressure on the Rangers defence, but even after Leon Balogun tries a bit of dangerous showboating in his own six-yard box and loses possession, the visitors can't fathom a goal.

GOAL Rangers 4-0 Aberdeenpublished at 49mins

    James Tavernier (penalty)

If it wasn't game over already, it is now.

Andrew Considine wraps his arm round the neck of Leon Balogun at a corner, the referee blows for a penalty, books the new Scotland cap and James Tavernier is handed the chance to score again from the spot.

No surprise that the Rangers captain slots in his 10th goal against Aberdeen.

It's all too easy. It's six players against two and no-one is engaging. Whatever Derek McInnes said at half-time, the players either aren't listening or don't want to carry it out

  14. goal

GOAL Rangers 3-0 Aberdeenpublished at 49mins

    Scott Arfield

Seconds after delaying his shot too long, Scott Arfield does extend the lead, but like the opener, there's a stroke of fortune.

Ryan Kent sets up the Canada midfielder just inside the penalty box and his drive takes a wicked deflection and leaves goalkeeper Joe Lewis stranded.

It surely has to be a third for Rangers.

Ryan Hedges' poor clearing header drops to Alfredo Morelos, who sets up Scott Arfield, but his shot is deflected off Andrew Considine and wide.

Aberdeen get the second half under way.

Can Derek McInnes' side get back into the game, or are Rangers going to cruise to an 11-point lead at the top of the table?

Ryan Kent won the game for Rangers against Aberdeen in August at Pittodrie and the winger's opener has laid the base for their 2-0 lead at Ibrox.

That's the fifth of the season for the Englishman, who has been linked with Leeds United, but his first in 10 games since a 4-0 Europa League qualifying win over Willem II in September.

Rangers have been very dominant. Everything good they have done has come through Ryan Kent. Aberdeen have looked relatively dangerous on the counter attack until they get into the box. At the moment, Rangers look comfortable
