  1. HALF-TIME Rangers 2-0 Aberdeenpublished at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

Rangers are well on their way to an 11-point lead at the top of the Premiership.

Ryan Kent's deflected long-ranger slipped in off the inside of the post and Kemar Roofe's drive edged over the line despite a strong hand from goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

Aberdeen have had chances on the break, but Rangers are well worthy of their two-goal lead such has been their dominance of the ball.

    Rangers 2-0 Aberdeen

    Kemar Roofe

Just when Aberdeen were growing into the game and putting Rangers under pressure, the hosts extend their lead.

Kemar Roofe shows some twinkle toes inside the penalty box before firing a shot that goalkeeper Joe Lewis manages to get a hand to but is unable to stop crossing the line.

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

  9. Postpublished at 23mins

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen spring to life and Ryan Hedges puts Sam Cosgrove clear behind the defence after a fine break.

The big striker has time to assess his options but fires for goal instead of the easier option of a cut back and his shot is pushed wide at the near post from goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

McGregor flaps at the resulting corner, but Rangers survive that bit of pressure.

  10. Little purpose from Donspublished at 12:24 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

    Richard Foster
Former Aberdeen and Rangers defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

Aberdeen need to make more of those situations, they had plenty of bodies forward there. Sam Cosgrove just dwells on the ball and surrenders the ball meekly. They're not passing the ball with any purpose

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

The Dons are creaking and are lucky to escape without conceding a penalty as Funso Ojo knocks over Rangers striker Kemar Roofe.

    What a goal!

Ryan Kent nutmegs Funso Ojo then unleashes a 20-yard drive that seems to spin one way then the other before slipping in off the inside of a post.

Replays show it was helped on its way off the shoulder of defender Tommie Hoban.

Joe Aribo is played through this time, but a fine sliding challenge from Ash Taylor saves the day for Aberdeen.

So close to an early opener for Rangers.

Captain James Tavernier slips the ball through the centre of the visiting defence to Ryan Kent, but the winger's side-footed effort is blocked clear off the legs of goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

Kent scored Rangers' winner in Aberdeen on the opening day of the season and should have broken the deadlock there again.
