    WOWZA!

A free-kick is launched quickly forward where Carlos Mendes Gomes heads the ball into the path of Cole Stockton.

And the bandaged Morecambe forward steadies himself well, volleying the ball into the far corner.

Great equaliser that. Harsh on Solihull though.

  2. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

Back to that Morecambe keeper switch though.

That has to be tactical right? I didn't see Jake Turner pick up an injury.

And apart from the goal, his afternoon was relatively error free.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

Referee Benjamin Speedy is getting his money's worth at the start of the second half.

Morecambe's Sam Lavelle and Solihull's Stephen Gleeson are both shown yellows for bad fouls.

  4. goal

GOAL: Gillingham 1-3 Exeterpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Joel Randall (40 mins)

    My word!

Nicky Law sets up Joel Randall who nets his second.

Easy as you like from the visitors.

Exeter have won just two of their past 24 FA Cup away games. They're looking good to make that three.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 46 mins

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

A double half-time change for the hosts and remarkably keeper Jake Turner was one of those to come off.

He's replaced by Mark Halstead. Jordan Slew also makes way for Stephen Hendrie.

Morecambe boss Derek Adams clearly unimpressed with what he saw from his side in that first half.

  7. goal

GOAL: Gillingham 1-2 Exeterpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Joel Randall (35 mins)

    Turnaround complete!

Two goals in six minutes and this time it's Joel Randall who makes space in the box before smashing a shot into the roof of the net.

  8. Trouble for Turnerpublished at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    HT: Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

The guys who always do an excellent job editing the match highlights have described that Solihull opener as a howler from Shrimps stopper Jake Turner.

I gave the benefit of the doubt to Turner initially but watching it back, he really should be saving that one.

By the way, it says in my notes that Turner is on loan from Newcastle and he has a couple of caps for England youth teams.

Thought I'd get that in there. It would be a waste of my pre-match research otherwise.

    Back level!

Where did this come from? It's been all Gillingham at Priestfield so far.

Nicky Law has a go from a tight angle and gets the better of Gills keeper Jack Bonham.

    All square again in Kent.

    Breakthrough!

Chaos at the back from Exeter allows Alexander MacDonald to win the ball and play through Vadaine Oliver who makes no mistake slotting home.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:23 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

That's the half. What an impressive 45 minutes of football from the National League side.

Their only regret will be that they don't lead by more, having hit the woodwork and had another effort cleared off the line.

Kyle Hudlin took advantage of this error from Morecambe keeper Jake Turner to ensure a deserved interval lead for the visitors.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 49 mins

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

The free-kick is launched forward and Yann Songo'o heads an effort towards goal which is expertly clawed away by Moors keeper Ryan Boot.

The non-leaguers are on the back foot.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 48 mins

Morecambe break forward but Solihull's Mitch Hancox ends the attack with a tactical foul.

    A yellow for him.

  14. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

We'll have five minutes of added time at the end of the half. Morecambe have a corner...

    ..nothing comes of it.

  15. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Morecambe 0-1 Solihull

And a huge chance just before the break in Lancashire.

Morecambe's Adam Phillips fires in a delicious cross but no one can get a toe on it.

    The hosts' best opportunity that.

Eight minutes to go before the break. Are Solihull going to regret not grabbing a second while on top?

League Two Morecambe are certainly beginning to grow into this tie...
