  10. Out for revengepublished at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

    Scotland v Finland (19:30)

Prior to their loss against Portugal, Scotland had a golden opportunity to seize control of Group E when they travelled to face tonight's opponents in Helsinki.

It was a game that Scotland dominated for all but a ten-minute spell, and that's when the group leaders struck a decisive blow.

Eveliina Summanen's goal earned Finland all three points, despite Scotland hitting the bar, missing a one-on-one and Leanne Crichton's volley shaving the post.

Scotland know they cannot afford profligacy like that if they are to win at Easter Road tonight.

  12. Beattie not giving uppublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

    Scotland v Finland (19:30)

"It's a high pressure game and we have managed to produce in high pressure games before," says Scotland defender Jen Beattie.

"There is more than enough belief that we can win the rest of our games. We know what it feels like to miss out and we know how it feels to qualify, the emotions are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

"It's been amazing that this squad has qualified for two tournaments on the bounce and we would be absolutely gutted if we didn't make the Euros. That fuels the fire. We want it more than anything."

Back-to-back losses for Shelley Kerr's side have put a place at the Euros in serious jeopardy.

After defeat in Helsinki, Scotland knew they needed a result in Lisbon against Portugal to keep their automatic qualification hopes in their own hands.

But Ana Borges' second-half winner gave Portugal the win.

Scotland are the seeded team in Group E and began as favourites to secure top spot in the group. But they currently sit third, knowing a defeat tonight ends any hopes of qualification.

  17. How Scotland can win Group Epublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2020

    Scotland v Finland (19:30)

To win the group, Scotland need to win all three remaining games and hope Finland and Portugal draw when they meet.
