Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti told MOTD: "We did very well (in our) last few games. Brilliant performances (and) fantastic results. We showed more consistency.

"This season we started well, then we had a difficult moment, but right now I’m really pleased.

"We have fantastic players on set-pieces we score lots of goals. We work on this because we are very dangerous.

"We are pleased; the position in the table is really good. But as I said last week it is not the end of the season, we have to keep fighting.

"But it was a top, top performance today."

Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports: "Without conceding much we lost the game on two key moments.

"We reacted really well. We dominated the game. We created enough chances at least to not lose. We hit the bar. We don’t have the luck.

"We are in a big fight. We lost against Burnley without them having a shot on target, and now we lose because of a couple of chances.

"It’s really difficult when you play a team who are defending low and wasting time. We make it difficult for ourselves conceding the first goal.

"I think we had 15 shots but only two on target. We need to improve our rate, that’s the reality.

"We need to generate more to win football matches. When it comes to small details, the other team wants it more.

"The boys are absolutely still fighting. They’re hurt right now."

Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce on the five changes: "I picked a team fresh enough, recovered and are well. We have a lot of games coming up. We could have done without what has happened. We can't make excuse for it.

"I think they've done particularly well in the past month. We're at home and love to be able to take advantage, but unfortunately we can't. If we can we get to 20 points by Christmas it would be a decent statistic."

Fulham can move up to 16th place in the table if they win today, but their top-flight record away from Craven Cottage is wretched.

Scott Parker's side have been beaten in 22 of their past 27 Premier League away games, winning twice and drawing three times.

The Cottagers have registered just two clean sheets in their past 43 top-flight away games, though one of those was at Newcastle in December 2018.

And the good news is that before their defeat at Manchester City, they won 2-1 at Leicester, their best away Premier League result for ages.
