Ndidi won the ball in the middle third, the ball was delayed and put in perfectly for Vardy but there was no danger and just hits him and into an empty net. There was great patience in that play.

    Toby Alderweireld (own goal)

    This one will count!

Jamie Vardy causing havoc again, meeting a cross at the far post.

The Englishman heads it across goal, Toby Alderweireld cannot sort his feet out and ends up bundling the ball into his own net.

    Brendan loves it, Jose doesn't.

Ben: The people making these decisions must simply hate football. There is no other explanation for such shocking, arbitrary decisions. It's the ruination of our beautiful game.

Why does VAR draw the line against Maddison's arm but Aurier's foot? When his arm was closer to his own goal as well? Mistake from VAR official there.

We don't want to see marginal goals chalked off like that but by the letter of the law it is offside.

Reece Young: This offside rule is completely ruining the game. The smallest of margins with parts you cannot even score with judging you as offside. It's ridiculous.

Shane O'Neill: How in all sanity can you be offside with your hand if you can’t score with your hand? Shocking decision to disallow that goal by Maddison. Football bringing itself into disrepute

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 50 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester

A change for Spurs five minutes into the second half.

Giovani Lo Celso has pulled a hammy and hobbles off, on comes Lucas Moura.

Plenty of attacking options for Jose Mourinho but reluctant to make use of their talents.

The marking from the centre halves was terrible. Maddison just ran straight through, it was a fantastic touch and he sweeps it past Lloris.

It feels harsh and it was marginal, but Spurs have to look at themselves.

Really disappointing and irritating to watch even if there was a little more attacking by Spurs towards the end of the half. Low scoring contests often decided by a mistake and Aurier has made one! No Dele and no spice. Bale will have to pull something special out of the bag if spurs are to get anything out of this, and just got a let off. Let's try attacking!

    It was coming.

Terrible defending from Spurs, getting caught out by James Justin's long ball over the top and James Maddison runs clear before finishing with aplomb, across Hugo Lloris and into the bottom corner.

I get that fans want their team to win playing nice football, but I'd much rather see my team playing bad football and winning then good football and losing (cough cough Arsenal). Yeah sure in an ideal world your team is 2011 Barcelona, but I thinks Spurs' squad is a little way off that one.
