    This would have been delightful.

Burnley can afford to sit in now and let Wolves have the ball - they are not causing any problems.

That second goal means they can defend and contain. Their work rate has been great again. It's been an easy night for Nick Pope.

Four or five Wolves defenders stood and watched and Chris Wood smashed it in. No sign of a lack of confidence there!

I couldn't see anything wrong with that goal but to be honest I don't understand the rules any more...

GOAL - Burnley 2-0 Wolvespublished at 51 mins

    Chris Wood

    Lead doubled and thoroughly deserved.

A classic Burnley goal and Wolves just cannot deal with the long balls forward.

Another cross is launched into the box, James Tarkowski heads it across goal, Dwight McNeil and Ashley Barnes are causing a nuisance allowing Chris Wood to smash the second into the net from a couple of yards out.

VAR check, no reason for it to be chalked off.

We've had two occasions where Rui Patricio and his defenders have got in a tangle - in these weather conditions you need to be decisive.

And that would have veen a beautiful goal! What a fantastic strike, Patricio was left watching it. A bad mistake from Ruben Neves.

Wolves need to be tidier. When they've got the ball down and played two-touch, between the lines, they've done well - they just haven't done that enough.

They had good chances to break and been in good positions and made bad decisions.
