    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

A quickly-taken Brighton free kick is taken too quickly as Danny Welbeck is flagged offside.

We're still waiting for a first shot on target in this one.

  2. 'Teams have respect for what we are doing'published at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Arsenal 1-1 Southampton

    Southampton

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to Match of the Day: "We have shown what we have learned in the past and that is to play our game, it was a good performance, not all the time, but we get more and more confident playing in possession.

"Che Adams is one of our most important players, he gets better and better at keeping balls, laying ups, he gets better every week.

"They tried more risks after half-time, pressed a little bit earlier and automatically you get a little bit under pressure. This is a team that is normally above us in the table.

"It was good to see we can still be competitive. Teams have respect for what we are doing and how we are playing. I am OK with a point."

On Theo Walcott: "Walcott is a fantastic signing. Footballers are getting younger and younger but the older ones who want to be professional can still help you and I am very happy he is here."

    Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham

Ooooh, unlucky. It's nowhere near a chance but Harry Kane controls a pass out of defence on the halfway line and he would have sent Son away with his pass - you can guess the rest.

But young Rhys Williams did really well to make the block.

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Wilfried Zaha feels he should be given a free kick as he sees his run into the box blocked by Vladimir Coufal. David Coote isn't interested but I think Zaha had good cause to feel hard done by there.

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have started with a real tempo about them. They are really hounding Tottenham, they have got the ball, they are moving it two-touch football, very high.

Tottenham have to concentrate. When they get the ball - I know this game has been built up very much - they have to relax when they get possession because they have got players who can hurt Liverpool.

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Good work from Solly March on the left as he turns, cuts inside and passes to Steven Alzate, who slips at the crucial moment and the danger is gone.

Open start, neither side is being cautious in these early stages.

    Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham

Liverpool seeing all of the ball as the few fans allowed on the Kop roar them on. Spurs look super compact though and possess such a threat on the break.

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace break after a West Ham attack through Wilfried Zaha. He has Christian Benteke in support and the two exchange passes before Zaha's shot is blocked.

  9. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham

It may not be much of a shock to hear that Spurs are sitting off and making things tight at the back.

Anyone order a Jose masterclass tonight?

Spurs have only won eight times at Anfield in 85 games, mind...

  10. Postpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Energetic start by Fulham, there's a big incentive for them to win this one because not only will they move out of the bottom three but also above their opponents tonight.

  11. 'It was a spur of the moment thing'published at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Leeds 5-2 Newcastle

    Leeds United

Leeds scorer Jack Harrison on his spectacular goal: "It was a spur of the moment thing. I didn't think about it too much. I was fortunate to get it in in the end. We're always trying to be intense and play until the final whistle."

Now THAT is what counter-attacking is supposed to look like Mr Bruce!

    Tony, Bristol

I've come to the opinion that Steve Bruce is the luckiest Newcastle manager ever. Not because he nicks results but because there aren't any fans to watch this garbage and give him stick.
