  1. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

A scuffed shot from Kemar Roofe is blocked and then it needs a perfectly-timed interception to take the ball off James Tavernier's toes as Rangers start to build a head of steam.

  2. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

A first shot on target from Rangers as Scott Arfield does well to flick the ball through to Alfredo Morelos. The striker turns at the edge of the box but there's no real power on his effort and the keeper makes a straightforward stop.

  3. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

That's a bit better from Rangers as Borna Barisic swings in a cross from the left. James Tavernier can't bring it under control and Alfredo Morelos has a swing at the loose ball as Liege clear their lines.

  4. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

This is the first time Rangers have been behind at home this season and Steven Gerrard's men look a bit stunned as they struggle to retain possession.

    Quote Message

Standard Liege are a good outfit. Their tactics tonight make them very dangerous. They've fine tuned a lot from the first game against Rangers. If anything they look more likely to extend their lead.

  6. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

With their high-tempo approach, Liege are not letting Rangers settle into any kind of rhythm and Alfredo Morelos is already looking a bit disgruntled up top for the hosts since he hasn't had any kind of service to work on.

  7. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

The visitors are keeping three forwards high up the pitch and still look the sharper side.

  8. 'No panic for Rangers yet'published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2020

Rangers won't change even thought they've gone behind. They know they can create chances so there shouldn't be any panic. Liege do look sharp though

  9. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

Rangers threaten for the first time as Ryan Kent runs on to a perfectly weighted pass from Glen Kamara but the winger wants another touch and a defender gets across to get in a tackle.

  10. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

Now the visitors have got something to protect but they continue to do most of the pressing as a shot from the edge of the box is blocked.

  11. 'Barasic caught out'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2020

    Rangers 0-1 Standard Liege

The run from Lestienne is brilliant. He was never favourite for the ball initially but uses his pace really well and catches out Barisic, who's on the wrong side.

  12. GOAL Rangers 0-1 Standard Liegepublished at 6 mins

    Maxime Lestienne

The visitors are rewarded for a bright start as Connor Goldson gets sucked out of central defence and can't stop a low cross from the right.

Maxime Lestienne gets across Borna Barisic to divert the ball home from close range.

  14. Standard will leave us gaps - Gerrardpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2020

    Rangers v Standard Liege (20:00)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard tells BT Sport: "The lads felt frustrated we didn't get the job done last week, but it's another opportunity tonight. We know against this team when they start being forceful they are going to leave gaps for us to exploit."

On Allan McGregor's record-breaking night: "He's a fantastic role model in the dressing room. It's no surprise he's playing at a consistent level. He's a super professional and very talented. He deserves this accolade."

  15. Win or bust for Belgianspublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2020

    Rangers v Standard Liege (20:00)

Standard Liege got their first points on the board in last week's home win over Lech Poznan, with the Belgians grabbing a last-minute goal to keep faint hopes alive.

It's win or bust for them this evening, which makes them dangerous, but can also play into the hosts' hands if they are over-eager to commit men forward.

James Tavernier tucked away an early penalty and Kemar Roofe added an outrageous strike from his own half as Rangers won 2-0 in the group opener in Liege.

Victory this evening guarantees a place in the knockout phase with a game to spare.

Benfica are at home to Poznan and will do likewise if they pick up three points.

  17. McGregor 'proud' to set new recordpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2020

    Rangers v Standard Liege (20:00)

Our focus quickly switches to Ibrox now and it's a big night for Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor as he sets a new club record for European outings.

McGregor makes his 83rd appearance in continental competition, surpassing the mark set by Barry Ferguson.

Speaking earlier this week, he said: "At the moment I’m just concentrating on the game but it will probably kick in later in life to realise just what an achievement it is. It’s a very proud one. Just to be part of history will be unbelievable."

Celtic simply cannot defend. The two goals in the second half are just unacceptable. Elhamed is meant to be better defensively, he's been terrible in a number of games. He's not alone though.
