    Reading 2-0 Luton

Tom McIntyre was the Reading hero at the other end with his goal and he has denied the fired-up Hatters doing his regular defensive job.

Blocked Luke Berry's effort after James Collins' weaving, driving run created the chance.

    Sergi Canos (50 mins)

The Bees are level, and it is another superb goal.

But the rebound drops to the Spaniard, who unleashes a brilliant hooked volley from 25 yards out which dips under the Cardiff crossbar and beats Bluebirds keeper Alex Smithies.

A strike to rival Will Vaulks' opener for the hosts.

    Derby 0-0 Preston

David Marshall foiling Preston on his own at the moment, as the underpowered 10-man Rams are being set upon by the visitors.

This time he's got to a Tom Barkhuizen rocket at the near post. Great connection, but it's a key save. Goalless still.

    Reading 2-0 Luton

Nathan Jones has gone nuclear with his subs at half-time, sending on three changes.

Rhys Norrington-Davies, Keirnan Dewsbury-Hall and Danny Hylton are on.

I was very impressed with Dewsbury-Hall last time I saw Luton, looks a class act. He'll need to be on it today to turn this around.

    Bristol City 1-0 Wycombe

Ooof so nearly a second for the Robins just after the restart and again it's Nahki Wells who is guilty of wasting a prime opportunity.

One-on-one and he drags his effort wide.

    Should've been two.

Oranges, jelly babies and isotonic sports drinks have all been imbibed.

Meanwhile, I hope you've managed to snare a mince pie or few sweets - some kind of sustenance at least - to keep you fuelled for the second-half.

The second halves are getting under way up and down the country.

  19. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Bristol City 1-0 Wycombe

It's a festive cracker at Ashton Gate, real end-to-end stuff.

First City's Callum O'Dowda cuts inside and forces a fine save from Wycombe keeper Ryan Allsop.

And then Wycombe go close as Scott Kashket wriggles clear before whipping in a terrific delivery which Jack Hunt does very well to head clear with Adebayo Akinfenwa lurking.

He sounds like an Italian sportscar and he has helped Reading cruise into a two-goal lead at home to Luton tonight.

Yep, Alfa Semedo - who earlier found himself needing treatment for some time has obviously run it off - exchanges passes with Sam Baldock and buries past James Shea.

First goal in blue and white hoops and gives Reading a useful cushion.
