Adam Reach loves a long-range strike, and his latest has put Sheffield Wednesday ahead at Ewood Park.

That's just his second goal of the season.

    Derby 0-0 Preston

Derby down to 10 after Martyn Waghorn was sent off earlier on, and they have been grateful to goalkeeper David Marshall for keeping North End out.

Josh Earl swung in viciously, prompting a save, and then the full-back met a Paul Gallagher delivery to get the goalkeeper moving again.

Coventry City causing problems again. Gustavo Hamer has a pop after Fankaty Dabo's turbo-charged run and cross was cleared. Josef Bursik saves.

Then Leo Ostigard is so close to tapping in from a flicked-on corner but can't get connect.

Stoke also went close before that, Jacob Brown having his fierce effort saved by Ben Wilson.

It's been a fairly scrappy past 15 minutes in west London, with neither side really able to assert themselves and get the ball out of midfield.

    Nott'm Forest 0-0 Birmingham

Neil Etheridge saves from Ryan YatesImage source, Rex Features

Ryan Yates again. Saved this time by Blues goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.

Lewis Grabban, formerly of Villa of course, touched the ball into the Forest midfielder but his volley, having stretched back to connect, found the Philippines international at his best.

Then, Sammy Ameobi has a dig, but that too is no trouble.

  7. Postpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Coventry 0-0 Stoke

Stoke are on the cusp of the play-off places as Michael O'Neill's gameplan seems to be coming to fruition but it's been Coventry dictating - at least in terms of chances in the past 10 minutes.

Josef Bursik has been busy, denying Callum O'Hare to add to his other telling stops from Matty Godden.

  8. Postpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Reading 0-0 Luton

Andy Rinomhota had his wings clipped by Martin Crainie and a booking handed to the Luton defender.

It was a classic 'cynical' challenge, cutting the Royals midfielder in his stride.

Not much has gone by in terms of chances, with George Moncur's set-piece failing to trouble the home defence.

  9. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Nott'm Forest 0-0 Birmingham

Ryan Yates has had two chances now for Forest and we still await the first goal.

The latest of his efforts was blasted over the crossbar after a free-kick caused a bit of Birmingham panic.

Newport are still leading Crawley 1-0, while Carlisle are 2-0 up against Bolton. Newport and Crawley will be first and second if those scorelines remain the same.

Barnsley grab an equaliser at Oakwell.

Cauley Woodrow does well to keep the ball in play at the back post from a Matty James cross after a short corner.

Mads Anderson can't put the ball in but then Michal Helik turns it home from close range.

    Derby 0-0 Preston

Martyn Waghorn is off and it was a striker's challenge, thundering late into Preston midfielder Alan Browne and leaving the North End skipper writhing in agony.

He chased the 50-50 but went off his feet,. It was fairly wild. Straight red.

    Cardiff 0-0 Brentford

Not much to shout about in south Wales so far.

Joe Ralls made a good intervention to stop Bees stop scorer Ivan Toney from getting a sight at goal, and Brentford winger Sergi Canos has sent an effort wide of goal.

  15. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Derby 0-0 Preston

Declan Rudd is at full-stretch to deny Derby striker Martyn Waghorn, clawing in his curling shot.

Plenty of ebb and flow at Pride Park.

  16. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Derby 0-0 Preston

Preston have come alive and might have scored through Sean Maguire, but a timely block by Matthew Clarke denies the Irishman, and veteran midfielder Paul Gallagher whacks his shot over the bar.

Starting to open up a bit now.

  17. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Coventry 0-0 Stoke

Coventry had shouts for a penalty when Matty Godden's ball in looked like it might have hit Nathan Collins on the arm. Nothing given.

Godden then forced a save from Josef Bursik, brilliantly played in by Gustavo Hamer.

Nick Powell had a chance for Stoke, toeing wide after nipping in.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Bristol City 0-0 Wycombe

Oh Nahki Wells what an opportunity!

The Bristol City forward is played clean through but he just can't make a decision.

He takes too long trying to get the ball out of his feet and Wycombe keeper Ryan Allsop does brilliantly to sprint out and steal the ball from the striker.

  19. goal

    Rarmani Edmonds-Green (13 mins)

    Huddersfield celebrateImage source, Rex Features

After that good start from Barnsley, the visitors take the lead.

It comes from a short corner on the left which Huddersfield work well with some quick passing.

Carel Eiting eventually crosses and centre-back Rarmani Edmonds-Green holds off his marker to flick a header in from close range.

That's the defender's first goal for the club.

  20. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Derby 0-0 Preston

Derby have been threatening at Pride Park.

First Martyn Waghorn met Graeme Shinnie's free-kick but could only put it over the bar, while Nathan Byrne has been testing the defence with deliveries into the box.

    Rams growing in confidence.
