I've been a bit disappointed with Crystal Palace. I thought they would have wanted to get more possession.

That was good play from Wolves which started off down the right with Nelson Semedo. Wolves are just missing that clinical edge.

Wolves are doing really well at shifting the ball across field from left to right. Palace just can't get there and stop it.

As a winger when you know you have got the beating of your man you just want to keep being fed the ball. Wolves need to keep giving the ball to Neto and Traore who have been superb in this opening period.

Mark Delaney is shouting instructions onto his Villa under-23 players from the sidelines. He's a former Villa defender.

Adama Traore again, this time he stings the palms of Palace keeper Jack Butland.

For a lot of you that's the first you've heard of Butland being at Palace, yeah?

Another Wolves chance. Joao Moutinho sprays a ball out right to Adama Traore, who cuts in and smashes a shot into the side-netting.

It was brilliant play from Pedro Neto and a lovely ball in. Fabio Silva is unmarked and has to hit the target as a bare minimum. But for me he has to score.

    Chance for both sides now.

Fabio Silva misses a great chance for Wolves, heading over from close range after fantastic wing play by Pedro Neto.

Palace counter and Eberechi Eze hammers a shot over the bar from the edge of the box.

Liverpool have made 123 passes to Villa's 18 so far. Possession wise it's 12-88%.

Nothing has happened at Wolves so far. Nothing.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Liverpool

An Aston Villa-supporting friend of mine said he plans to turn off at 2-0. It was almost that time already as Georginio Wijnaldum ghosts in behind Villa's defence before taking a first touch and scooping a shot over the bar from eight yards. Should have scored.

Good play by Villa's Benjamin Chrisene to chest down a cross from Takumi Minamino and draw a foul from Curtis Jones.

Jones is a proper veteran compared to his opponents.

Each team can name nine substitutes and five can be used at three separate times during the tie.

All games will be decided on the day and there will be no replays. If ties are level after 90 minutes there will be an additional 30 minutes.

Penalties will take place to decide the outcome if scores are level after 120 minutes.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo knows that moving forward he has to play with a back four. He is looking to evolve and all the top teams play with a four.

Wolves so far have had all the possession but it has not concerned Crystal Palace at all. They have not really threatened at all.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Liverpool

I was going to say muted celebrations from Sadio Mane but he appeared to hurt his back while scoring.

Now James Milner gets a stray arm to the head and needs some assistance.

They're both OK to play on.
