Both managers are taking this game very seriously and I am excited to see this game tonight.

Wolves need to go for it and build momentum. When I got the team sheet I was really surprised, there are a lot of familiar faces.

Mark Delaney, the former Villa full-back and club's under-23 coach, would never have thought he would find himself in this position - taking charge of the 'senior team'.

His starting XI contains seven under-23 and four under18s.

Here are some facts about them:

Akos Onodi, 19, goalkeeper: The Hungarian only made the move up to under-23 level this season. He now faces Salah and Mane.

Kaine Kesler, 17, defender: The teenager has also just stepped up a level to the under-23s. Kesler has made just the five appearances for the side so far.

Lamare Bogarde, 17, defender: The Dutch player turned 17 three days ago. He has represented Netherlands at under-15 and under-16 levels.

Benjamin Chrisene, 16, midfielder: Chrisene only joined Villa last August from Exeter. He became Exeter’s youngest ever player in August 2019 when he made his debut in the EFL Cup against Coventry City at the age of 15 years, seven months and one day.

Wolves v Crystal Palace (19:45 GMT)

Three of the five previous FA Cup ties between Wolves and Crystal Palace have gone to replays. But that is not possible today.

All three replays have been won by Palace, while Wolves won the two which were decided after 90 minutes.

Their last FA Cup meeting was in February 2010, when Danny Butterfield scored a six-minute hat-trick for Palace in a 3-1 win at Selhurst Park.

8th tier Marine draw Premier League leaders Tottenham

There are 31 ties across Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and all will be shown live on either BT Sport, the BBC or the FA Player.

The BBC is screening eight games across the weekend on its platforms, including eighth-tier Marine's historic home tie with eight-time winners Tottenham on Sunday (17:00) - never in the competition's history has there been such a gap at this stage.

Mark Chapman presents live coverage of the FA Cup fourth-round draw on Monday on BBC Two (19:00), with the draw for the fifth round also taking place immediately after to aid with fixture scheduling.

Villa are up to 90-1 with some bookmakers.

  13. 'Bigger than Marine beating Spurs'published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2021

Aston Villa v Liverpool (19:45 GMT)

    John Acres
BBC 5 Live reporter at Villa Park

I would say this would be 100% bigger than Marine beating Spurs. The lowest shirt number is number 37, that is the starting point. There is a 17-year-old in the Villa line up and four under 18 players in the team.

The average age is about 18. They have printed a load of new shirts because they got 70-76 in the squad. What a moment for them.

This is largely the side that has played in the EFL Trophy and got beat 8-1 against Sunderland. It is a proper David versus Goliath.

  14. 'That's the team we would have played'published at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2021

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to BT Sport recalling when he heard about the Villa Covid outbreak: "Yesterday we sat in analysis meeting with coaches and someone opened the door saying Villa had problems. Then later we were told a lot of their first team players were out. Then they said the training ground had shut down. Then we later learned of their situation.

"This is the side we would have started with tonight because we trained like that.

"For the boys it's nice they can play. So far they [Villa's senior players] are all fine. I wish they all come back quickly.

"If we will win clear they will say something. if we don't win clear they will say something. Who cares? We want to go to the next round. What scenario will they say 'that was brilliant from Liverpool'?"

Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park is going to become a coronavirus vaccination centre, the club have confirmed.

  18. 'My app is not loading because it doesn't know players'published at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2021

Aston Villa v Liverpool (19:45 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I've got an app on my phone that usually gives me the teams and the players and it is basically not loading because it doesn't know any of the players. That is how deep Villa have gone.

It is going to be a tough night for them. They haven't got the added pressure of 40,000 fans in the stadium but this game more than ever hits you in the face in terms of the state of play in football and in England at the moment.

  19. Derby game to go aheadpublished at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 8 January 2021

Derby County are in a similar position to Aston Villa with a lot of Covid in their camp.

They have just confirmed some of the squad due to be involved at Chorley tomorrow have tested positive now.

The club call it "a small number" and that, at present, the FA Cup third round tie goes ahead.

Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic has apologised for breaching coronavirus rules after attending a New Year's Eve party - and made a donation to the NHS.

The 29-year-old Serbia midfielder was pictured at a gathering with at least seven other people.

"The consequence would be harsher, there is no doubt about that," boss Roy Hodgson said when asked about what would happen if there were any other breaches among the squad.

"We have had one player who has broken the rules and been punished accordingly, but the players have had it made very clear to them in the future there is to be no breaking of any Government guidelines.

"Anybody who does will face the consequences, and the consequences will be very strong ones and ones the players don't want to suffer."
