  1. 'We respect and love him' - White returns to Leedspublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

Leeds United v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

A familiar face returns to Elland Road today in the shape of Brighton's Ben White - an integral part of Marcelo Bielsa's promotion-winning side last season.

White was revered by Leeds fans for his performances at centre-half alongside skipper Liam Cooper, playing all 46 league games and named the club's young player of the year.

Unsurprisingly, Leeds were keen to turn the 23-year-old's season-long loan into a permanent deal in the summer. But Brighton stood firm and reportedly turned down an offer worth £25m from the West Yorkshire club.

"All of us here, we admire him as a player and we respect him and love him as a human being," Bielsa said about White in his pre-match news conference.

"He was an excellent professional as well as a team-mate. I hope that his career allows him to grow because he deserves it."

White, who has impressed in his debut Premier League season, will line up in a holding midfield role for Brighton this afternoon.

Huge huge result for the Baggies today, always felt like we were one big result from building some momentum. In a season as weird as this I wouldn't be surprised to see big Sam come out on top in another relegation battle

I think Nuno will be lucky to keep his job now. Too much is going wrong (even ref decisions). Can't see wolves winning another game this season without new faces. Somethings got to change and fast.

Cheers Em! A massive win for West Brom and that ups the pressure slightly on Brighton, who are now just three points above the Baggies. Can they too pick up three points from a tough-looking away fixture?

We'll have all the reaction from that match but we also have two games kicking off at 15:00 GMT, so we'll start building up to them.

Sam Allardyce looks about as happy as a hungover teenager at a kids birthday party. But he will be extremely pleased with that performance.

West Brom had to come from behind and they defended with resilience in the second half.

Nelson Semedo gives the ball away. Callum Robinson and Hal Robson-Kanu are just playing with the corner flag now.

Nuno Espirito Santo is sat looking gloomy in the dugout. The game is done.

Hal Robson-Kanu goes straight for the corner flag. He wastes a good 30 seconds.

As a Wolves fan it's hard to go from the very highs to this. This is a very low point for us this season. But fair play to them, they figured us out very quick.

Weird season. Despite Wolves being in freefall, they're still as close to 3rd as they are 18th.

He spins away from the ball too and there's absolutely no contact so he gets a yellow for diving.

Pedro Neto floats another ball in from the free-kick. Willy Boly heads it back across goal, it falls for Nelson Semedo but Kyle Bartley throws himself in front of it to make the block.

Excellent defending and he's absolutely pumped. He screams at his teammates. Very solid performance from him.

Romain Saiss flicks on a cross on the edge of the box and it pops up in the air for Patrick Cultrone, who is completely unmarked.
