Steve Conroy: Tuchel's first game in charge after one day of training, against good Wolves side, and complaints already started. Lampard has gone, need to get behind team.
Kaustubh Joshi: 95% of times Kai Havertz receives the ball, he promptly sends it back towards his own goal. How am I supposed to see his “generational” talents, anyone?
Stephen Hutchings: Every time I watch Villa play they get better, so good on the eye.

And that's half-time.
No goals so far. Plenty for Thomas Tuchel to ponder.

Kai Havertz looks to slide a pass in behind the Wolves back line but it's overhit and Olivier Giroud wouldn't have got that even in his prime.

Last chance of the half for Chelsea as they win a corner.
But Andy Madley spots a foul in the box and it comes to nothing.

I always wonder this, do sacked managers watch the first game hoping their old team win? Or lose?
Alex Quinn
Wishing Tuchel a very happy 8 months at Chelsea.

The left-back finds himself in the Burnley box and stings a low effort on target.
It's all Villa.

There must be a case for all four Villa defenders to make the Euros squad - Konsa, Mings, Targett, Cash.

Villa come so close to a second!
Ollie Watkins sneaks in behind but Nick Pope is out quickly to thwart him, Ross Barkley gets to the follow up but catches the woodwork.
Pope then makes another superb save from the corner. Burnley survive.

Ben: Burnley still in this. Ref ruining the flow of this game. But Villa have looked better than us going forward, nice football.
Paul Collins: Knew these early games would be poor soon as I saw Wolves and Burnley were involved. 2 of the most negative teams in English football. Saying that Chelsea don't exactly look good either.
Matt Andrews: Haller: 40m, Joelinton: 40m, Watkins: 28m. And Villa overpaid....

Enjoying Thomas Tuchel's touchline antics already. He's giving a thorough explanation to someone on the Chelsea bench, hands flying around like a mime artist.
Nelson Semedo bundles Ben Chilwell over in the corner and Antonio Rudiger meets Hakim Ziyech's delivery with a solid header at the back post.
It takes a good save from Rui Patricio to keep it out. Best chance of the half so far.

Arjun Singh: Different manager, but so far the same result. Lovely possession-based play with no end product.
Lee: This has a 1-0 Wolves win written all over it.
Tremor: I'm watching the Chelsea game and I'm very convinced that Chelsea made a wrong choice in dismissing Lampard.
Ben: Kovacic looks great today. Good decision from Tuchel.
Jonathan Champion: If we’re into the corrections and amendments part of this live feed, the Brazilian side in the airport were a 90’s team, not noughties.
