Karim Benzema, unsurprisingly, is the man Granada will have to watch.

The Frenchman has either scored or had an assist for all of the last five goals Real have scored and has netted seven times in La Liga in 2020-21 - only Gerard Moreno of Villarreal has scored more with eight.

Benzema also leads the way with five La Liga assists, while team-mate Rodrygo has four and Dani Carvajal has three.

Real Madrid make just the one change from the 11 that began the 3-1 away win at Eibar as Federico Valverde replaces Luka Modric, who misses out through injury.

Ex-Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is back on the bench after he went off after only 28 minutes against Alaves at the end of November, with him then missing the next six games because of that thigh injury.

Real Madrid: Courtois, Mendy, Ramos, Varane, Carvajal, Kroos, Casemiro, Valverde, Rodrygo, Benzema, Vazquez.

Substitutes: Lunin, Hazard, Militao, Nacho, Marcelo, Vinicius, Odegaard, Asensio, Jovic, Diaz.

Roberto Soldado, who scored 16 goals in 76 appearances for Tottenham in a two-season spell with them between 2013-2015, leads the line for Granada and is a man in form as he netted twice in their 2-0 win over Real Betis on Sunday.

Brazilian Kenedy, on loan from Chelsea, comes in to the side as one of four changes from that Betis match.

Granada: Silva, Neva, Duarte, Eteki, Foulquier, Herrera, Puertas, Milla, Valleho, Soldado, Kenedy.

Substitutes: Escandell, Costa, Perez, Quini, Sanchez, Pepe, Suarez, Azeez, Soro, Molina.

  6. Six wins in a row?published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2020

Spanish champions Real Madrid are rolling along nicely at the moment with five wins on the bounce in all competitions.

If they make it six by overcoming a Granada team in the top seven then Real will be level on points at the top with city rivals Atletico at Christmas.
