Unai Simon is behind the shot and gathers it at the second attempt. A thoroughly enjoyable 35 minutes in this one so far.

Athletic are forced into a swap as left-back Yuri Berchiche's hamstring pings. He shakes his head in disappointment instantly as he knows he has done himself some harm. He trudges off, with Mikel Balenziaga coming on.

A low cross close to the left touchline from winger Iker Muniain causes problems for the Barcelona defence but no Athletic Bilbao man can convert.

Home midfielder Mikel Vesga is the first man to be booked, leaving a foot in as Ousmane Dembele was far too good for him and threatening to race away.

Ousmane Dembele slides a pass to team-mate Jordi Alba in the left channel and the left-back shoots low at goal, but Unai Simon does well to parry the effort.

It's been a mixed bag from Simon so far. He's made three good saves, although he'll be disappointed with his decision-making for Barcelona's equaliser.

Athletic are having the best chances and Barcelona are really struggling to deal with goalscorer Inaki Williams. He gets himself free in the penalty area, but can only shoot low at Ter Stegen.

Straight down the other end and Ousmane Dembele strikes at goal but Unai Simon makes his second save of the match, pushing it wide for a corner, which comes to nothing.

There's already been a huge shock today in the Spain...

La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid suffered a shock exit in the second round of the Copa del Rey as they were beaten 1-0 by third-tier UE Cornella.

Adrian Jimenez scored the only goal after seven minutes when he flicked an Agustin Medina free-kick into the net.

Atletico had to play the final 27 minutes with 10 men after Ricard Sanchez was sent off for two bookable offences.

Diego Simeone’s side also saw defender Jose Gimenez suffer an ankle injury.
