Derek Flory: Look and learn Jose-Dele is class

Tim Sherwood: Doherty is a good right back but a better right wing back. Sadly Jose doesn't play him there enough, that's why he isn't quite the same player anymore.

    Quick one...

Which was the better overhead kick?

    Thumbs up for Dele Alli.

    Thumbs down for Olivier Giroud.

It is a training game but it's nice once in a while to sit down with a beer and watch Spurs knowing that even with me up front, aged 61, we would win comfortably.

5-1 up on aggregate with the game in the bag, wouldn't Spurs fans want their side to be going hell-for-leather to grab a few more goals against an inferior opponent?

A 5-0, 6-0 win can do wonders for the confidence.

A goal for Bergwien 'still remains" elusive... That's tautology. It should be either '...remains elusive' or ...is still elusive'. Very poor grammar; 2/10.

    Stevie Zipp

It's Bergwijn mate. 1/10 for spelling.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 36 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Wolfsberger (Agg: 5-1)

A needless yellow card earned by Spurs full-back Matt Doherty for a late challenge from behind on Jonathan Scherzer, who was on the halfway line and facing his own goal.

And just as I say that, the Spurs goalkeeper has work to do but he drops down to his right to gather Michael Liendl's weak effort from 15 yards out.

Half an hour gone, that spectacular Dele Alli strike has killed any hope of this one being a contest.

Steven: Madness the way Matt Doherty hasn't had a look in under Mourinho. Comfortably their best right back, Wolves have missed him massively

Dele Alli is brimming with confidence now.

The midfielder plays a superb outside-of-the-boot pass into Carlos Vinicius in the box, but the Brazilian just cannot get on the end of it.

The striker looked a bit sluggish there.

That goal still remains elusive for Steven Bergwijn, controlling the ball nicely and darting into the box but a low shot is well blocked by Michael Novak.
