    Reading 3-0 Bournemouth

Reading deliver a perfect execution of the adage 'Attack is the best form of defence'.

Bournemouth were well and truly blown away by a relentless attacking performance from the Royals.

Josh Laurent, Tom McIntyre and Lucas Joao got the goals. Asmir Begovic has had a hellish 45 minutes.

The Cherries have been picked apart.

    Reading 3-0 Bournemouth

Jason Tindall's face right now is creased with concern. Plenty for the Bournemouth boss to discuss at the break.

    Reading 3-0 Bournemouth

Another dangerous sortie on the Bournemouth goal.

Andy Rinomhota stings a ball in but it's swiped away nervously by the Cherries defence.

Bournemouth were 2-0 down in coming back against Reading at home in November.

Will take some coming back from this.

    Lucas Joao

    Reading strike again. It's devastating.

Philip Billing loses the ball in the midfield and Reading break, John Swift passes to Ovie Ejaria, he slides in Lucas Joao, who deliciously rolls his boot over the ball to bamboozle the defence before he strokes past Asmir Begovic.

A little prayer to celebrate. Reading are on a higher plane right now.

    Reading 2-0 Bournemouth

Reading defender Tom Holmes gets a head to a deep free-kick, but Bournemouth hack it away.

Jason Tindall's side need to get a grip because it's a Blue and White wave at present.

  6. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Reading 2-0 Bournemouth

Crucial touch from Steve Cook, as Michael Olise tracks a pass down the right.

Cook had to make that or Reading were in.

Pressure continues on the Bournemouth goal.

Diego Rico clumsily lops Andy Rinomhota down out wide, and it's another dangerous set-piece.

    Reading 2-0 Bournemouth

Patience from Reading as Michael Olise and Ovie Ejaria exchange passes down the right side, trying to pull Bournemouth apart.

Olise slides the ball out of his feet with a shimmy and works a yard, lashes his shot but it zips wide.

Bournemouth pour forward at the other end and Jack Stacey wins a corner. Tom Holmes powers the header away.

Darren: Regularly get the impression that many Bournemouth players seem to think they're too good for the EFL and stroll around the pitch in a very lackadaisical, nonchalant manner making error after error.

    Reading 2-0 Bournemouth

John Swift swings a beautiful pass to set Lucas Joao away and Bournemouth are being stretched.

However, Joao stumbles and loses it. Disappointing end.

Bournemouth break at the other end as Dominic Solanke trades a one-two with Josh King and drives at the defence.

Corner comes as his shot is blocked. Corner causes mild panic. Cleared.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 34 mins

    Reading 2-0 Bournemouth

Cards being dished out like Valentine's Day here, although not a lot of love from these two teams at the moment.

John Swift stops Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke on the charge with a shirt tug and James Linington hands him a booking.

    Tom McIntyre

Reading two in front now! Deja vu?

Michael Olise goes low and slow with the free-kick, which Bournemouth's Asmir Begovic parries tamely.

Tom McIntyre doesn't even break stride as he follows in and volleys into the net.

Begovic will hate seeing that again. He might have been unsighted but it was on a plate.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

    Reading 1-0 Bournemouth

Diego Rico slices Andy Rinomhota as the Reading midfielder scoots towards the box and concedes the free-kick.

Just outside the box for the shot...

    Reading 1-0 Bournemouth

There's a real tempo to this game. Barely a minute to breathe.

Some teams drop into a lulling, deep, slow game to try to tease opponents on.

Not these two. It's not direct in terms of just whacking it long, but it's certainly positive from both sides.

    Reading just doing it better.

    Reading 1-0 Bournemouth

Dominic Solanke gets a rare touch of the ball, been quiet. Wins a throw after he's crowded out.

Josh King pushes down the right but loses the ball and Reading break.

    Reading 1-0 Bournemouth

Reading had been threatening and now have their reward.

However, November's game saw them 2-0 up at Dean Court before letting slip to lose 4-2.

They look sharp right now though.

    Josh Laurent

    It has been coming.

Reading laid siege to the Cherries goal, first a free-kick which earnt a corner.

Michael Olise's deep cross is nodded into the mix by Tom McIntyre, and after Chris Mepham gets the ball tangled between his legs, Josh Laurent thrashes into the top corner from close range.

    Reading 0-0 Bournemouth

Reading getting their dangermen into the game.

Lucas Joao picks up the ball and runs at the Bournemouth defence and Philip Billing clips him from behind.

John Swift who scored a belter against Coventry, can't repeat the trick.

Corner which followed is also cleared.

  18. CLOSE!published at 21 mins

    Reading 0-0 Bournemouth

How are Bournemouth not behind here?

Reading pounce on a sloppy pass from Lewis Cook, Lucas Joao gets on to it and takes it away from Asmir Begovic.

He slides a pass back to John Swift who scuffs it wide from the centre of the box. Didn't catch it at all.

Ugly finish to a gifted opportunity.

    Reading 0-0 Bournemouth

Ovie Ejaria romps forward, streaks clear of the Bournemouth midfield and slides the ball out to Lucas Joao, but the opportunity evaporates as the defence recovers.

Ejaria seems to glide across the turf, long strides rather than raw pace.

Reading through Omar Richards again attack the left side but Bournemouth keep them at arms length as the ball goes back to goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.

    Reading 0-0 Bournemouth

Reading break as Lucas Joao's clever flick round the corner pushes the home side forward but it's mopped up by the Cherries.

Then Arnaut Danjuma scorches away down the left but Michael Morrison times his tackle on the Netherlands international perfectly to stop him from threatening.
