  1. CLOSE!published at 8 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Mario Vrancic dances his way into the Middlesbrough box with a shuffle and shimmy, and it opens up for him.

Yet the Bosnian can only drag his shot wide at the end of it. He mesmerised the Boro defence totally. Static like Subbuteo men.

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Will be an interesting battle for Teemu Pukki against Dael Fry this afternoon.

Pukki's strength is in his movement, but Fry is a strong presence.

Fry won the first tussle but it'll keep coming his way.

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Interesting positional switch made by Neil Warnock for Boro, no natural '9' centre-forward, rather Yannick Bolasie roaming with wing-backs Djed Spence and Marvin Johnson pushed on.

Looking for pace on the counter you'd think.

Meanwhile, Norwich win a corner, Emi Buendia bangs on into the box, but Marcus Bettinelli beats away and then Darnell Fisher wins a free-kick.

  4. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Norwich keen to get the ball forward sharply and quickly.

Rapped, first-time passes trying to unlock Boro, but the visitors so far look decent.

Djed Spence cleared the lines with a driving run, into the Boro half but across comes Grant Hanley to force him into touch.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 0 mins

    Norwich 0-0 Middlesbrough

Keith Stroud is the referee this afternoon.

Norwich get us going. Flags ripple on top of the stand.

    A chilly Saturday lunchtime affair.

Teams are out, the pitch will be interesting.

Last night's game at Reading saw plenty of slippages. Hopefully this will stand up to the test a little better.

    Norwich v Middlesbrough (12:30 GMT)

Norwich have the hold on Boro in this fixture, having won the past six, with the past four all finishing 1-0.

You have to go back to 2015 for the last Teessiders' success, when Alex Tettey's own-goal decided it.

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock has gone out and brought in experience in a bid to bolster his squad and reset after a bit of a wobble in the Championship.

Yannick Bolasie comes in with a pedigree from Palace, Everton and Plymouth, but it's been a while since he played regular football.

Darnell Fisher is also involved after a move from Preston.

Boro are still just three points off the top six despite three recent home defeats, it's by no means over for them.

Over the past decade, Norwich's fluctuating fortunes have seen them up and down more than a hotel lift porter.

Their last surge to promotion brought the Championship title in 2019, but they bowed out of the Premier League at the first attempt last term.

Credit to Delia Smith and co at Carrow Road, they've kept faith with boss Daniel Farke, who continues to deliver results - they're unbeaten in 12 at home.

In Emi Buendia they've a goalscoring midfielder of genuine quality, Teemu Pukki has a track-record of goals at this level and Mario Vrancic is also classy. That's just three...

Middlesbrough boss Neil Warnock hands debuts to Darnell Fisher and Yannick Bolasie, while it's great to see Dael Fry back after his eye injury. Relief all round there.
