    Brighton 3-1 Bristol City

We're into the closing stages now and it's really not been Bristol City's day.

Admittedly, they were up against it, having only won two games this season.

They also haven’t won away from home in the competition in over a year.

  8. Kerr makes WSL historypublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Chelsea 5-0 Reading

Sam Kerr has now become just the second woman to pass 20 goals in a WSL season.

The Australian has emulated Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema, who netted 22 times in 2018-19.

She needs one more to equal the Dutchwoman's tally.

There's just under 10 minutes plus stoppages left in south-west London.

  9. PENALTY SAVEDpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    West Ham 0-1 Man City

    Incredible!

Hammers keeper Mackenzie Arnold pulls off another penalty save.

Rose Lavelle is handed the spot-kick duties this time, but can't do any better than her USA teammate Sam Mewis from 12 yards.

It's almost a carbon-copy save from Arnold, who dives to her right to keep it out. It was a decent height for the keeper.

Eight minutes to go at West Ham, and the visitors have a second penalty.

It's a ruthless procession to the title for the Blues now.

Reading keeper Grace Moloney does well to claw away a header from Sam Kerr.

But Erin Cuthbert is on hand to follow up and Moloney can't keep the ball out despite a desperate attempt on the line.

Reading have put in a better performance than the scoreline suggests.

  12. goal

    Inessa Kaagman (76 mins)

    Game over.

  17. Postpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Aston Villa

Arsenal have already sealed Champions League qualification, so they don't exactly need to put their foot on the gas today.

The visitors are yet to have a shot on target, but they know a point is all they need to remain in the WSL.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

City have been frustrated by the Hammers today. They're going to have to settle for second place in the WSL for the fifth consecutive season.

  19. Postpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Tottenham

It's still goalless here at Damson Park.

The best chance of the second half came from Claudia Walker who was through on goal, but she dragged her effort wide.

A point is enough for the Blues, though.

Chelsea fans must love the sight of these two, and opposition defences must dread them every time they come forward.

Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr have now scored 36 WSL goals between them this season.

Their attacking combination has been devastating, and a major reason in Chelsea being in the hunt for the quadruple.

Reading will be sick of Kirby too - she's scored six goals against the Royals in the WSL this year.
