    Arsenal 0-0 Aston Villa

We're into the closing stages at Meadow Park and it's been a quiet one in the first half.

Villa won't mind that it's goalless, though, as they're staying up as it stands.

GOAL: Chelsea 2-0 Readingpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Fran Kirby (43 mins)

Chelsea double their lead and get a nice cushion before half-time.

The goal is all about Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr, and how many times have we said that this season?

Kirby releases Kerr behind the Reading defence and into the box on the left.

The Australian squares it back to the penalty spot and Kirby is on hand to sidefoot in.

That's Kirby's 15th WSL strike of the season.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

Pernille Harder climbs highest to reach Melanie Leupolz's deep cross into the box.

But Royals right-back Kristine Leine does enough to put off the Chelsea forward.

    Birmingham 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham go close to an opener, as Chloe Peplow's diagonal pass meets Ash Neville on the right wing.

Neville connects with Lucy Quinn who sets her up for a cross, but the ball evades Rachel Williams at the back post.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:13 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Brighton 1-0 Bristol City

Brighton almost double their lead through Ellie Brazil who's one-on-one with Bristol City keeper Sophie Baggaley, but she does well to deny her the goal.

A huge let off for Bristol City.

  7. PENALTY SAVEDpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

Sam Mewis steps up for City, but is denied from 12 yards.

The USA international goes to tuck the ball inside the left-hand upright, but Hammers keeper Mackenzie Arnold dives to her right to claw it away!

Good save by the keeper, who makes amends for giving away the spot-kick.

It's not been the visitors' afternoon so far.

  8. PENALTY TO MAN CITYpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

A ball over the top sends Ellen White into the West Ham area.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

Chelsea haven't been at their flowing best today.

Pernille Harder misjudges a cross into the box by Ji So-yun.

But Emma Hayes' side are still doing enough to retain the title.

  10. Postpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Brighton 1-0 Bristol City

Half an hour gone at The People's Pension Stadium, and Brighton still have the upper hand with a one-goal lead.

Bristol City would be relegated if the scoreline stays like this, so they really need to get themselves back in this or their time in the WSL is over.

Can Matt Beard's side make a comeback?

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:04 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

A combination of a block by Gilly Flaherty and a touch by keeper Mackenzie Arnold stops City from taking the lead.

Lauren Hemp's header down from a cross from the right falls to Caroline Weir, who is denied by a combination of defender and keeper.

City have won 13 of their past 14 WSL games and are firmly on top.

But they are lacking a cutting edge in front of goal.

Half an hour gone at Kingsmeadow and, as things stand, Melanie Leupolz's second-minute strike has Chelsea on course for the WSL title.

If the Blues concede, that could open the door to Manchester City.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

A bit of concern for Chelsea captain Magdalena Eriksson, who needs some treatment after clattering into teammate Jess Carter while challenging for an aerial ball.

The Blues will hope their influential captain is okay, especially with the Champions League final a week away.

The Sweden centre-back needs a bit of attention to her nose, but looks alright to carry on.

Hawa Cissoko advances out of defence, beats a couple of City players and advances over halfway.

She gives the ball to Kenza Dali, who crosses to the back post.

Cissoko sends a spectacular volley attempt across goal and wide.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

A clean sheet here for Blues keeper Ann-Katrin Berger will secure the WSL Golden Glove award.

The German is currently level with Man City keeper Ellie Roebuck on 11 clean sheets.

    Roebuck isn't playing today.

Berger hasn't been massively threatened in the first 20 minutes, but has had a couple of bits and pieces to mop up.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

Almost a second for Chelsea as Sam Kerr sees a low shot from inside the block blocked behind by Royals centre-back Deanna Cooper.

Kerr is hoping to move past 20 WSL goals for the season and become just the second woman to do so.
