    Brighton 1-0 Bristol City

She weaves her way past the defence, but drags her effort across the goal.

    Birmingham 0-0 Tottenham

Birmingham have started well in the opening 10 minutes.

Skipper Jill Scott goes down in the box, but the referee waves away the appeals for a penalty.

It remains goalless at Damson Park.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

Ten minutes gone at West Ham, and Man City spurn a chance to take the lead.

Janine Beckie goes for goal from a narrow able when Ellen White was well placed in the middle for a tap-in.

Hammers keeper Mackenzie Arnold smothers Beckie's attempt at the expense of a corner.

  4. goal

GOAL: Man United 1-0 Evertonpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Ella Toone (6 mins)

It's a brilliant start for Man United and a stunning finish by Ella Toone.

A neat chip into the box by Christen Press found her waiting in space on the right-hand side of the penalty area.

Without needing a touch to control the ball, she brings it down and slots it home across Everton goalkeeper Sandy MacIver in one move.

    Chelsea 1-0 Reading

Reading threaten as lone striker Emma Harries win a corner on the left.

The visitors try and work a routine from the training ground, but Fran Kirby snuffles out the danger.

Royals midfielder Rachel Rowe eventually has a dig from outside the area, which is blocked.

  6. goal

GOAL: Brighton 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Maya Le Tissier (7 mins)

A huge setback for Bristol City in their fight to avoid the drop, after a short corner sees the ball make its way into the box and Maya Le Tissier volleys it home for the opener.

Bristol City have to come from behind now, and that's not ideal for them.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

Sam Mewis has had an early chance for Man City which was saved by Hammers keeper Mackenzie Arnold.

City can't win the title as scores stand, but they know they have to win to have a chance.

  8. goal

GOAL: Chelsea 1-0 Readingpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Melanie Leupolz (2 mins)

    That was quick.

Defending champions Chelsea hit the front within 70 seconds.

Jess Carter cuts a corner from the right back to Melanie Leupolz, who'd peeled away from her marker.

The German is 15 yards out in the centre of the box and fires a first-time shot into the net.

Royals keeper Grace Moloney had a few bodies in front of her, but the shot went through her.

The Blues are on course for the title early on. That'll settle any nerves.

  9. Only one sub for Bluespublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Birmingham 0-0 Tottenham

Not the ideal scenario for Blues manager Carla Ward, who only has goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse as the lone sub on the bench today.

How will the relegation contenders fare now with such a limited squad?

  10. Kirby & Harder back for Bluespublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Reading

Chelsea are back to full strength after Emma Hayes made five changes from the side which beat Tottenham on Wednesday.

Jess Carter, Melanie Leupolz, Ji So-yun, Fran Kirby and Pernille Harder are back in the Blues XI.

Kirby scored four times against her former club when the Blues beat Reading 5-0 in January.

Fara Williams captains the Royals on her final WSL appearance before retirement.

    West Ham 0-0 Man City

Man City are without keeper Ellie Roebuck today.

The England international sustained an ankle injury in midweek.

She's also expected to miss next week's FA Cup fifth round tie, which is also against West Ham.

Karima Benameur deputises between the sticks against the Hammers.

City just need to win and hope Reading do them a favour at Kingsmeadow.

There's a minute's applause ahead of all WSL fixtures today in memory of Julie Chipchase.

Julie passed away aged 60 after a battle with illness on Tuesday.

A pioneer of the women’s game, she made her name at Doncaster Belles, winning the Women’s FA Cup as a player and managing the side in the competition’s final.

She also coached Leeds United, as well as holding various roles within the Football Association.

  16. Three-way relegation battlepublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

Birmingham, Aston Villa and Bristol City fighting for survival

Bottom of the Women's Super League table

Down at the other end of the table, just three points separate the bottom four teams who will battle it out to avoid the drop.

West Ham are realistically safe as bottom-placed Bristol City need to overturn a huge 35-goal deficit to leapfrog the Hammers.

Birmingham City could have secured WSL survival earlier but they were docked a point on Friday for fielding an ineligible player, so they still need a draw against Tottenham to get over the line.

Meanwhile, it's simple for Bristol City. They need to beat Brighton and hope Aston Villa lose to Arsenal or Blues lose to Spurs.

A draw will be enough to keep Aston Villa up regardless of Bristol City's result because of that -52 goal difference for the bottom club.

  17. Blues and City in title shoot-outpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 9 May 2021

    Chelsea have upper hand

    WSL title raceImage source, .

Here's how the top of the WSL stands.

Defending champions Chelsea know victory over Reading will be enough to retain the title and seal their fourth league crown.

Lose, and Manchester City will seal top spot if they win at West Ham.

If the Blues draw, City will need to beat the Hammers by four goals to take the title on goal difference.

If Chelsea draw 0-0 and City win 3-0, they'll have exactly the same records. It could get complicated, so we'll deal with the scenarios as they happen.

    • Brighton & Hove Albion v Bristol City
