  2. Big Sunday in top flightpublished at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Scottish Premiership

We'll also be back live tomorrow for two more Premiership fixtures, weather permitting.

The big game is at Pittodrie, where third-top Aberdeen hope to halt leaders Rangers' seemingly relentless run to the title.

Meanwhile, in-form Livingston will hope that delaying kick-off for 24 hours will be enough to allow their match against Ross County to go ahead.

  3. Top flight sides in third-round drawpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

Only four Scottish Cup second round ties, and two tonight, survived the big freeze, meaning there will be a lot of either/ors when the draw for the third round is made tomorrow at 11:00.

Join us for that tomorrow as the Premiership sides join the competition at that stage.

  4. Scottish Premiership tablepublished at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

Just two Premiership fixtures survived, of course, but the results mean all four sides move places in the table.

That Greg Kiltie double for Kilmarnock against Hamilton lifts Alex Dyer's side above St Mirren into seventh place after the Buddies were held at home by a Motherwell side under new manager Graham Alexander for the first time.

The point lifts Well above their Lanarkshire rivals on goal difference, with Accies dropping to second bottom, one point ahead of Ross County, who visit Livingston tomorrow.

  5. FULL-TIME Forfar Athletic 4-1 Linlithgow Rosepublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

Forfar have completed their comeback from a goal down to end East of Scotland League side Linlithgow Rose's hopes of cup shock.

But it took the League 2 strugglers until extra-time to subdue the visitors through a goal from veteran Martyn Fotheringham and a double from striker Jordan Allan.

  6. 'Kiltie was outstanding' - Dyerpublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-0 Hamilton

Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer is delighted with his side, in particular with midfielder Greg Kiltie, who scored both goals.

"Today you saw on the pitch how well they played from start to finish," he tells BBC Scotland. "It could have been a lot more but glad with the 2-0. Kiltie was outstanding with two good goals. Happy days all round.

"We were quite comfortable most of the afternoon. When we first came here, Kiltie was injured for a long long time. This year, he's come back really fit, he was excellent in pre-season and he's carried it on.

"Hopefully it's his time to step up and show what he can do."

  7. Alexander 'frustrated' after Well debutpublished at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander tells BBC Scotland he was left "frustrated" with St Mirren's equaliser in his first game in charge.

"I don't think it was a penalty," he says. "I'm disappointed for the boys because I thought they worked exceptionally hard.

"We've got a good point away from home. We know we weren't going to get ourselves out of trouble in one day. We weren't going to go the other way either. We took a step forward by getting a point on board.

"I've seen a real good base to build on. We obviously have to improve. If we can do that with the players that we have now, which I think that we can, it would be great. A couple of additions would be great as well to enhance that. Certainly there's a group of players there that can win games."

  8. More to come...published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

Remember, we still have two Scottish Cup ties to come.

Lowland League champions Kelty moved their tie up the road to Stark's Park in Kirkcaldy, with the kick-off now at 18:00, against League 2 side Stranraer.

Meanwhile, the game live on BBC Scotland TV later is Dundee at home to Bonnyrigg Rose.

  9. Buddies deserve point - Goodwinpublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "Motherwell started the game much brighter. Although we had eight or nine attempts, I don't think we worked the goalkeeper at all

"We struggled with their set plays in the first half. Unfortunately, that's where the goal comes from.

"Second half, we asked them to shorten their passing a little bit. We were going far too long, too early.

"I thought, second half, we were a lot more like ourselves and deservedly got a point in the end."

  10. Covid cost Accies two signings from Englandpublished at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-0 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton head coach Brian Rice lost his first-choice centre-back Aaron Martin not long before kick-off and believes it had an impact on his side's defeat at Rugby Park.

"I don't think there was too much in the game," he tells BBC Scotland. "Kilmarnock were the better team first half - but the second goal kills the game. But I think, at 1-0, we were always in the game.

"I think a bit of inexperience cost us for the second goal. It happened again when we went up to Ross County [and won 2-0]. The following game my two main midfielders were out. Today, it was my two main centre-halves out.

"We're actively trying to get players in. I thought I had two signed last week as well, but with the Covid situation, they didn't want to come to Scotland and they've signed for English clubs."

  14. Mini shock from Covepublished at 17:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Scottish Cup, second round

One mini shock in the Scottish Cup second round and another could be on the way.

Cove Rangers are chasing promotion from League 1, so it is perhaps not such a surprise that Paul Hartley's side got the better of his former employers - an Alloa side struggling at the foot of the Championship. Ryan Strachan late winner seems to have been well deserved.

Meanwhile, Cove's third tier rivals Forfar are teetering on the brink at home to East of Scotland side Linlithgow Rose with the game now in extra-time.

  15. Saints call for SPFL probepublished at 17:01

    Dundee United P-P St Johnstone

St Johnstone want an SPFL investigation after their Premiership game with Dundee United at Tannadice was postponed less than two hours before kick-off.

Referee Colin Steven inspected the pitch at 13:15 GMT and deemed a section to be frozen.

The game will now be played on Tuesday with a 18:30 kick-off, but St Johnstone are "disappointed" by the late call.

"It's been far from ideal," the Perth club's head of football operations, Kirsten Robertson, said. "With Dundee United having undersoil heating, we expected the fixture to go ahead."

  16. Premiership game moves to busy Tuesdaypublished at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Dundee United P-P St Johnstone

Tuesday was already building up to a busy night of Scottish Cup action after most of today's postponed second round ties were rearranged for midweek.

You can now add to that the top-flight game between Dundee United and St Johnstone after their game was a late victim of a frozen pitch this afternoon.

The 30-year-old looks to have won it for the League 1 side against their Championship hosts.

Greg Kiltie's brace gives Kilmarnock victory and moves them up to seventh place.
