Frank Lampard's not having a lot of fun at the moment. Everything seemed so rosy in the summer when he was chucking around the club's cash to bring in some of Europe's most exciting talent. A title challenge was expected. But they've lost three of their last five Premier League games to drop down to ninth.

Could be that the FA Cup - and a tie against a Luton side that are 13th in the Championship - offers Frank a bit of respite.

But then if it all goes wrong today, that pressure gauge is gonna start rattling.

I mean, even with seven changes that Chelsea side should have way too much for Luton right? It is another chance for Timo Werner to try and build up some confidence. It's fair to say he's not quite lived up to the billing yet. Oh, and Mason Mount just doesn't get a day off does he? Even when it's snowing. Speaking of which...

    Chelsea v Luton (12:00 GMT)

As just mentioned, Chelsea make seven changes to the side that lost to Leicester in the league. The players to keep their spots are Reece James, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham and, inevitably, Mason Mount.

Kepa starts in goal, with Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christiansen and Emerson coming in to defence. Billy Gilmour is in midfield, with Hatem Ziyech and Timo Werner in front of him.

Luton make four changes from the team that lost their last league game to Brentford.

Ryan Tunnicliffe, Jordan Clark, Kal Naismith (for his debut) and Glen Rea come in to the side, which does not include top-scorer James Collins, who is on the bench.

  13. What's happening?published at 10:53 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2021

We've got two all-Premier League games today. The first sees Fulham face Burnley. The second... well, even despite that drab recent 0-0 draw I guess Manchester United v Liverpool has to take top billing.

As well as that, there are a couple of match-ups that were most certainly top-flight match-ups in much of the 1980s - Chelsea v Luton and Everton v Sheffield Wednesday.

And then we've got Leicester travelling to a side who may well be playing Premier League football next year if all goes to plan - Brentford.

Here are the games, with the time they are on...

Chelsea v Luton (12:00 GMT) - live on BBC One and iPlayer

    Brentford v Leicester (14:30)

    Fulham v Burnley (14:30)

    Manchester United v Liverpool (17:00)

    Everton v Sheffield Wednesday (20:00)

    Nine down, seven to go.

Yesterday, eight teams ensured they'll be in the hat for... well, not the hat because the draw has already been made. Plus, it's not a hat, it's more of a velvet bag... anyway, you know what I mean. Eight teams went through to round five.

Today, we've got five fixtures for you and some belters too. There is a bit of a mix of English top-flight past, present and possible near future about it.
