    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Lucas Digne does really well to see off the driving run of Raphinha and then wins a free-kick as Luke Ayling catches him with a late challenge. Time for an Everton change.

Ben Rogers: I’d call that first half at Anfield dull but I’m afraid I’d be overselling it

Mike Scott: Of course I traded Fernandes for Salah, then made him captain. It’s my fault he’s not on form.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

Leeds make a change, sending on their midfield playmaker, Pablo Hernandez, for Alioski.

I'm surprised - I wanted to see Liverpool a bit more potent in the final third. Mo Salah has made some good runs, Roberto Firmino is playing pretty football and Xherdan Shaqiri has drifted in and out. They're the three players who could create something for Liverpool. It's 50/50 at the moment though, I couldn't call it.

Liverpool 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

Liverpool's last goal at Anfield in the league was Sadio Mane's 12 minutes into the 1-1 draw with West Brom the day after Boxing Day.

  6. Postpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Brilliant from Liam Cooper. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is facing up to the Leeds skipper in the box, looking to find a yard to shoot but the defender comes out on top, sticking his boot out to take the ball and see off the threat.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Leeds hit the woodwork again! They work space for Dallas on the edge of the box and he floats a cross in for Bamford, whose looping header hits the top of the bar and goes over.

They are battering at the door, the home side.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

Aston Villa 0-0 West Ham United

Jesse Lingard shines in goalless first half.

You have to tip your hat to Brighton they're forcing Liverpool to play a certain way but Liverpool don't want to they're trying to play their own game. Brighton are working really hard, they're not frightened of Liverpool on the break either - it's a good game, very intriguing so far.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Champions lacking.

Liverpool 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

Gini Wijnaldum is booked for a high challenge on Neal Maupay. You could hear the screech from home.

Maupay then heads a good cross over the top.

  12. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Everton will be thinking they just need that one big chance to seal this game. They have to hold Leeds at bay and wait for the prime moment to strike. Easier said than done.

  13. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

Jurgen Klopp is in a tetchy mood down there on the touchline. He's not used to seeing his side this flat - although they are of course on a rank run of goalscoring form at Anfield.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Mateusz Klich is the man to make way for Roberts. Can he add that extra cutting edge to find the equaliser?

  15. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Looks like Tyler Roberts is going to be coming on for Leeds shortly.

  16. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Richarlison has shown brief glimpses of what he can do in this game. He drives inside from the left, inside forward style, and unleashes a shot that flies wide of the far post. Non-stop entertainment.

  17. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion

We are yet to have a single shot on target at Anfield.

  18. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

Aston Villa 0-0 West Ham United

I have to say I didn't see West Ham developing quite like this under David Moyes. They do look a very solid but also subtantial side these days. A fine move down the left ends with Said Benrahma picking out Vlad Coufal beyond the far post and he hits a low shot right at Emi Martinez.

  19. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

Olsen now needs a bit of treatment. The Blues really can't do with losing him, what with Jordan Pickford already absent. Thankfully for the visitors, he looks to be OK.

  20. Postpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2021

    Leeds 1-2 Everton

    How has it stayed out?

Leeds pile forward and Olsen is drawn into a diving save to parry a deflected shot. Bamford might get a goalbound touch on the follow-up, Raphinha eventually does but it is blocked again by the keeper.

And then, to complete his hat-trick, the Everton keeper dives to keep out a Harrison drive.

    Brilliant goalkeeping.
