    Coventry 5-4 Watford.

Not the score today, unfortunately, but the number of goalless draws each side has had this season.

I'd be lying if I said a goal was looking imminent here...

  2. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Watford have been better since the break and win a corner.

It comes to nothing. Substitutions please.

At the other end Callum O'Hare releases Coventry team-mate Gustavo Hamer who predictably shoots from outside the box and Daniel Bachmann makes a regulation save.

Hamer loves to shoot on sight and to be fair he has five goals to his name this season.

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

And now Ismaila Sarr volleys one into orbit.

They haven't really come close but Watford have already showed more attacking intent than they did in the first half.

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

There's an opening for Watford but Andre Gray and Ismaila Sarr get in each other's way!

The visitors picked up a second ball in the Coventry half but Gray shoots against Sarr and the chance is gone.

  6. Second halfpublished at 46 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

The visitors get us under way for this second half.

Some would argue they haven't got started at all yet, but I'm sure that'll change.

  7. Are Swans deceiving us all?published at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

Friday night result: Swansea 2-0 Norwich

Andre Ayew celebrates his goalImage source, Getty Images

Ignore the headline here, we just wanted to get a Camera Obscura lyric into this live text. Great band and one of Pat Nevin's favourites if that helps.

Swansea certainly aren't deceiving anyone at the moment, they're absolutely clear about their Championship promotion ambitions amid an unbeaten run now stretched to 10 games.

Leaders Norwich felt the force of it last night, and Andre Ayew and a free-scoring Conor Hourihane scored apiece to reduce the gap between the Swans in second and top spot to just two points.

Watch out, Steve Cooper's side are in the groove.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

The home side have been much the better team, Dominic Hyam and Max Biamou spurning very good opportunities to score.

Watford look off the pace and Xisco Munoz must be thinking about making a change.

The Hornets won the reverse fixture 3-2 in November and that one was goalless at half-time too... so do stay with us!

  10. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Coventry throw men forward on the counter and Gustavo Hamer shoots well wide from outside the box.

    A bit of a waste.

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

There's a real old-fashioned battle going on between Watford striker Troy Deeney and Coventry centre-back Leo Ostigard.

This time under a high ball Ostigard appears to head the back of Deeney's head. A painful one for the Coventry man but he's OK to soldier on.

  12. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

    Watford need half-time.

Jeremy Ngakia loses possession deep in his own half and Coventry midfielder Callum O'Hare cuts inside, dribbles and sees a shot well saved by Daniel Bachmann.

  13. CLOSE!published at 41 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

A golden opportunity for Coventry striker Max Biamou.

Julien Dacosta delivers from deep and Biamou's stooping header is agonisingly wide.

The hosts have looked great but lack that finishing instinct.

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Watford skipper Troy Deeney has looked a frustrated man at times in this first half.

He's had Coventry players all over him and not much in the way of support from his team-mates.

Visiting keeper Daniel Bachmann flaps at a set-piece but the Sky Blues can't capitalise.

  15. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Watford full-back Jeremy Ngakia has never scored a professional goal, but he doesn't lack confidence!

He beats a man and strikes just over the bar from 25 yards with his weaker left foot - it was a rasping effort.

  16. League Two latestpublished at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Exeter 0-0 Bradford

They've not long been underway in the early kick-off in League Two, where at St James Park, it's goalless between Exeter and in-form Bradford City.

  17. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Jamie Allen has the ball in the middle and his Coventry team-mate Julien Dacosta in acres of space on the right, but the midfielder makes the wrong decision and gives the ball away.

Still waiting for that cutting edge.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Another yellow for Watford - Andre Gray lunges in on Matty James and doesn't get the ball.

Coventry players wanted more but that's the right call for me.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 26 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Francisco Sierralta is booked for Watford after climbing all over a Coventry man.

The hosts continue to look the brightest.

  20. CLOSE!published at 24 mins

    Coventry 0-0 Watford

Gustavo Hamer wins and takes a free-kick for Coventry and, after it's flicked on by a Watford man, it falls for Dominic Hyam, who heads over at the back post.

    He should hit the target.
