  5. League Two latest - Shrimpers rise from depthspublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

Southend have held on against Forest Green as they've clinched a huge three points.

Nathan Ferguson's audacious effort from the centre circle was the pick of the goals for the League Two strugglers, who move out of the bottom two.

Meanwhile, despite Jamille Matt's consolation, Forest Green miss the chance to go top of the table.

    Blackburn 0-0 Watford

Strong stuff from the hosts as they take the game to Watford.

Corry Evans plays through to Ryan Nyambe on the wing who gets into the box before he tees up his Blackburn teammate Adam Armstrong.

However, Will Hughes get a last ditch block onto his shot.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff

The hosts win a free-kick around 25 yards out and Junior Stanislas goes for goal, but his shot is beaten away by Cardiff keeper Dillon Phillips.

A decent enough effort and a decent enough save.

    Preston 0-0 QPR

Big chance for QPR to take an early lead at Deepdale as they catch Preston sleeping.

Lilywhites keeper Daniel Iversen keeps out Lyndon Dykes' effort inside the box with an outstretched leg.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff

Bournemouth are being allowed to pass the ball around by Cardiff, who aren't pressing quite as high as they have in recent games.

Jonathan Woodgate's Cherries are yet to do any damage with that possession, though.

    Blackburn 0-0 Watford

Blackburn could do with a result tonight and they've started brightly against in-form Watford.

Adam Armstrong finds Joe Rothwell who's just outside the box but his effort at goal is dealt with by Hornets keeper Daniel Bachmann.

    Preston 0-0 QPR

Preston get the first chance of this game as Anthony Gordon gets onto the ball on the left wing and plays Ched Evans through.

He then finds Scott Sinclair who's in space in the box but the ex-Celtic man's effort is wide of the mark.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

    Brentford 1-0 Sheff Wed

Brentford still look like a team that aren't firing on all cylinders but they have a half-time lead thanks to Bryan Mbeumo's scrappy goal from a long throw.

Sheffield Wednesday have played decently enough but look a bit toothless in attack.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

    Swansea 0-0 Coventry

Not a great deal has happened here.

Both sides have had half-chances - Jamal Lowe skewing wide for Swansea and Max Biamou looking lively for Coventry, but neither keeper has had a meaningful save to make.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

    Barnsley 1-0 Stoke

Callum Styles' rocket of an opener for Barnsley is all that separates them and Stoke at the break.

Work for the Potters to do while the Tykes are on course for a fourth consecutive win.

    Brentford 1-0 Sheff Wed

Brentford manager Thomas FrankImage source, PA Media

Brentford's Sergi Canos goes into the book for a tactical foul on Wednesday forward Kadeem Harris.

He knew what he was doing there.

Bees boss Thomas Frank is his usual animated self on the touchline - his side are ahead but by no means safe.

  19. Postpublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

    Swansea 0-0 Coventry

It's been a game of misfiring strikers so far and Max Biamou is the latest to be off-target.

Coventry's Liam Kelly dribbles into the area and cuts the ball back for Biamou, who hits the ball well but wide.

  20. League Two latest - Southend score from almost halfwaypublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2021

A huge goal in League Two and I'm not just talking about its importance for struggling Southend.

Nathan Ferguson has just picked up possession as Forest Green broke upfield, turned 180 degrees and unleashed a sensational strike from almost halfway that's picked up by the wind and goes in.

Southend had scored just five goals away from home this season until tonight. They're now 3-0 up and out of the League Two bottom two, with Forest Green missing the chance to go top.

Elsewhere, Walsall's early game against Newport has seen them slip to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of Joss Labadie's goal for the Exiles.
