Phil Foden could become the first Manchester City player to score in the third, fourth and fifth rounds of the competition in the same season since Shaun Goater in 2000-01.

He'll have to do it off the bench. Foden has been left out of the starting line-up.

Pep Guardiola says Manchester City 'suffered incredibly' on their last visit to Swansea two years ago.

"Swansea have a tradition of managers," said Guardiola when asked to recall his memories when his side found themselves 2-0 down before coming back to win 3-2 two years ago.

"Laudrup, Martinez, Potter was there, we suffer a lot there, 2-0 down, third goal was offside, it was a difficult day. I don’t expect a different game to two seasons ago when we suffered incredibly.

"I know about the consistency, defensively they don’t give chances and goals, they are so solid in this formation, they have quality up front, quality in the middle.

It will be a difficult test, we have to do a good performance."

Having a bad day? It cannot be any worse than the one Burnley experienced on Tuesday.

Not only did they go out of the FA Cup after being beaten at home by Championship side Bournemouth, they were left red-faced after they named a suspended player in their line-up.

Left-back Erik Pieters was picked for the match at Turf Moor - but Bournemouth noticed he was ineligible after being booked against MK Dons and Fulham in the previous two rounds.

"To be fair to Bournemouth, they flagged it and mentioned it, so credit to them for a bit of gentlemanly conduct," said Clarets boss Sean Dyche.
