  2. 'A team trying to go for it'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells BBC Sport: "We deserved to win the game but that is football for you, you have to take your chances and cannot concede with every shot.

"First half I did not feel we played particularly well but scored two fantastic goals, you go in at the break 2-0 up feeling we have not hit where we could do. After 2-2 we played really well then the last kick of the ball kicks us in the teeth and go home disappointed.

"Paul could not carry on, a muscle injury and will have a scan in the morning to see how he recovers.

"We have to focus on improving as a team, we are scoring more goals, creating chances and you felt you dominated the game and should have won it. The fans can see we are team that is trying to go for it, even at 3-2 up we wanted to get the fourth."

  3. 'We can compete with our qualities'published at 22:27 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti speaking to BBC Sport: "Wow, what a game. It was fantastic emotion. What can I say? We deserved, even if we were shy in the first half. We played with more courage in the second half. We attacked and pressed forward. At the end, we deserved to have a point.

"The first half we started well and were in good control. Instead of passing forward we passed backward. Play with more courage, I told the players. That is what they did second half.

"Rodriguez had a problem at the end of the first half with a tight calf. But he said he wanted to try and after that he was tired. It was risk but I was confident in him. After 20 minutes I take him out.

"It was like the win but it is just one point, We competed against one of the best in the Premier League. We are not at the same level but we can fight and compete with our qualities. I am proud of my team."

  4. 'Results create the mood'published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells Sky Sports: "We played some good football in the second half but conceded three goals from three shots on target. When you do that it is disappointing.

"We reacted well after their two goals but then why was there four minutes added in, we had to get the ball in the corner and see it out. Poor goals to concede.

"I wouldn't blame anyone on the goals but we know we could have done better as a team on all of them.

"James and Richarlison caused a bit of bother for us before half-time but we did not deserve the 2-0 lead at half-time even though they were excellent goals. We should have seen it off and should have scored a fourth.

"Our front four caused them problems and played well, that is not the problem but it is a 3-3 game with two good attacks. Many more will have enjoyed that game than the Man United supporters.

"Results create the mood, the last kick of the ball makes us go home really disappointed, we have lost two points on a long thump upfield which we should have defended.

"We should even be considered as title chasers, we have got better as a team and see where we end up. We need to stop conceding easy goals."

  6. 'The spirit is really good'published at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we started well and were a little bit shy in the first half. After that the game was in control. We would not have deserved to lose. We had opportunities in counter-attacks in the first half but were not clinical.

"Manchester United are really strong in midfield. The idea was to put one more player in there. Rodriguez had a calf tight but he could play but not all the game. Hr scored a fantastic goal and I took him off to avoid problems.

"I am really proud. The spirit is really good. We have a good run in this moment. We have to keep this spirit high. We showed that at 3-2 we did not want to lose."

  7. 'We hung in there'published at 22:07 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to BBC Sport: "There isn’t [a better time to score]. Even still I ran off celebrating and didn’t know if I could fully get into the celebration because of VAR. It was close. I knew I didn’t handle it but didn’t know if it was offside.

"I didn’t even see he [goalkeeper Robin Olsen] was up. It was just about getting in the right position. I knew I wouldn’t get first contact, it was about trying to get second contact.

"I believe we’re capable of much more. Credit to us to show the spirit to get back into the game.

"We hung in there and I feel like we deserved that point."

  8. 'We are capable of so much more'published at 22:03 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Man Utd 3-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, speaking to Sky Sports: "Frustrating when we get back level from 2-0 down and then let them get the lead again from a set-piece. We had to stay disciplined and then smell the goal at the end and put it in.

"I was just waiting for a nick. I knew I wouldn't get first contact so it is ready for the second one. I knew I could get there before the keeper.

"We had a change of system few minutes into the second half. It allowed us to commit more bodies forward. We let them have too much of the ball. It was about picking the tempo up and getting after people.

"We are capable of so much more. Every team we play we can compete and eat them. The spirit we showed to get back in the game is what we are about."
