There's a lot of players just standing watching, not engaging or closing the ball down. They are just watching and hoping the ball doesn't come too close to their goal line.

Robert Snodgrass fouls Marcus Rashford just outside the box. Yellow card and free-kick in a dangerous position.

The big news for Leeds United is that star man Kalvin Phillips has not recovered from his calf injury and is out of the squad. Jamie Shackleton comes into the starting XI.

He’s the only change from the team that beat Crystal Palace last time out.

There's some great last ditch defending from West Brom.

To get anything out of this game they are going to be defending for their lives for the last 20 minutes.

Robert Snodgrass plays a great ball out left to Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is in acres of space. AMN has plenty of time to try to pick out the unmarked Mbaye Diagne in the centre - but completely gets the final ball wrong.

Shoddy defending but United escape.

United go close twice in a couple of seconds. Mason Greenwood's shot - with one of his first touches - is saved by Sam Johnstone's feet and then Scott McTominay has a shot cleared off the line by Darnell Furlong on the post.

Sam Hartles: Is that a “clear and obvious mistake”? I don’t think it is. VAR yet again making it up as they go along.

Deep Morjaria: Maguire was offside why did they even need to check the contact?

The VAR check and subs seemed to have killed some momentum to this game. United are still on top but maybe lacking the zip of a few minutes ago.

West Brom make their second change as Jake Livermore replaces Okay Yokuslu. Livermore takes the armband.

Harry Maguire did definitely look offside but the VAR check appeared to centre on whether it was a foul - instead of whether the move even counted.
