  7. 'Really important three points'published at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2021

    West Ham 3-0 Sheffield United

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to BT Sport: "It sounds great - great professional job form the players tonight. Sheffield United played well so we don't take anything away from that we're up against good opponents. But we defended well and took our chances when we got them."

On missing Michail Antonio: "When you get injuries you have to find other ways of solving it - this season at other times we've had to make changes, Michail [Antonio] is important but Jarrod Bowen supported by Jesse Lingard and Manuel Lanzini played well. We wanted to try and cause problems in another way and I think it worked for us. Really important three points, another home win.

"One of the most pleasing things is that every player has made a difference. The boys coming off the bench have often won us a game or got us a result. Issa Diop who hasn't played for a while played, he well tonight. We've had to juggle things, it's the way the season is at the moment."

On finishing the season in the top four: "Well we're safe now, 40 points is safe. I can't get carried away because if we do, it might happen, we're a team in progress, trying to grow and get good foundations in place. We're enjoying it at the moment how could we not be - I want the players to just keep improving. There's a lot more to come we can play better than we did tonight. We're doing a decent job at the moment though."

  8. 'We've taken a step backwards tonight'published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2021

    West Ham 3-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder speaking to BT Sport: "They've got experience in the ranks and they saw the game out and got over the line which they did comfortably. We had two or three chances but big moments are when we don't play quick enough, when we give away a ridiculous opportunity to get punished which they did in a header in a set play.

"The game is hard enough for us in the Premier League, especially when we're not getting the results we want, and we can't make it even harder for ourselves which we are doing now. I thought we could get a result here, you might think I'm crackers but I thought we could get a result here. It looks a comfortable scoreline in the end.

"You give the ball away cheaply to good players they will punish you or keep it away from you for 20 minutes. We didn't play quick enough. It was slow and allowed them to get back in numbers. They've got players that can hurt you on the counter, speed energy and pace. We were in the game, but from tonight at 39 minutes, we're 1-0 down and we're architects of our own downfall. First goal in the game is hugely important in the Premier League. But that second goal is avoidable."

On John Egan injury: "Didn't look too good, coming off on the stretcher and he's on crutches now. That caps off a miserable night for us. I've been happy with our progress since Christmas, some fabulous results and decent performances but we've taken a step backwards tonight which is disappointing because we can't afford to do that in the position we're in."

  9. 'Chelsea have been extremely slick'published at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2021

    HT: Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Totally dominant - really important or Timo Werner to get his goal and make the first one. They have been sharper, better, they have been extremely slick. Tammy going off unfortunately for him, Olivier Giroud comes on and gets his goal right place right time.

Looking at Newcastle you're thinking how on earth are they going to get back in this?

  10. 'Being at the top brings another pressure'published at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2021

    West Ham 3-0 Sheffield United

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes to BBC Sport: "The performance at times could have been better, especially in the first half, but the players are doing a brilliant job. The good thing is there is more to come and they know they can do better.

"Declan Rice had known it was his job to take the kick, maybe in the future we'll look at others as well.

"It's great because this time last year it was how can we avoid relegation?

"I'm smiling about it, being at the top brings another pressure. I thnk the players have at least another gear to go, I won't be accepting some of the things in the performance.

"I don't want to say no, we can't finish in the top four but I don't want to say yes we can and set myself up. I want to be ambitious, I don't think we're going to get relegated with our points total but I'm certainly not going to make a stupid statement saying something I can't reach."

  11. 'A massive step back for us'published at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February 2021

    West Ham 3-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder to BBC Sport: "They took advantage of our indecision, poor play.

"A massive step back for us, I've been positive with the results we've had, you can't gift any team in form opportunities.

"Whether it's old school or right school, possession counts for nothing unless you turn it into something.

"We should take the keeper out of the equation, they're good chances we had and we should finish them. From our point of view a set play has gone in that's avoidable.

"I never felt we were massively under the cosh and we didn't play quick enough, it's too slow. There's a mistake and a penalty on 40 minutes and you're scratching your head.

"Other teams don't make those mistakes. That's decision making, thought and care - we've made poor decisions. Maybe the leagues we've been in the last four years you can get away with it."

On John Egan's injury: "He didn't look good when he came off. He's on crutches now."

Timo Werner nearly misses that! It's a good run in that far post area. Closing the door, waiting for the flick. He does well to get there - how important could that be for Werner to go on a run.

What an impact he's had this evening, creating a goal and scoring a much needed one for himself.
