    HT: West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham haven't won any of their last 11 Premier League games when trailing at HT (D2 L9) since their comeback victory against Brighton in December 2019 (2-1).

Michail Antonio's goal was the first time West Ham have scored a first half goal against Tottenham since November 2016 - each of the previous 11 before today had come in the second half.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

Another good half from West Ham, who took the early lead through Michail Antonio and have defended very well.

Spurs struggling to create much with just that one shot on target from Harry Kane near the end of the half. Work to do.

As a Man Utd fan, I watch Spurs with a deep sense of sympathy for their fans and a huge sense of gratitude that we no longer have to watch this eye-bleeding and dull football. We certainly aren't perfect, but we are definitely more exciting to watch. Do Spurs fans really prefer this to what they had under Poch?

    Much better!

Erik Lamela and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg manage to move the ball across to the right side of the box.

It comes to Harry Kane who hits it early and low. Lukasz Fabianski reacts well to parry the shot before it's quickly poked out for a corner.

Eric Dier then directs it wide from the set-piece.

Jarrod Bowen's corner is well taken by Hugo Lloris. He tries to release it quickly but West Ham sprint back into shape.

It's eventually rolled to Eric Dier and the ball is back with West Ham in their own half seconds later.

I'm tired of watching this Spurs side now. Every Spurs fan can see Sanchez is a liability and Lloris is in that category now too. How can one of the best coaches in world football not see this?! They give the back four no confidence.

    West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

Erik Lamela has a go from the edge of the box when it sits up for him kindly from Sergio Reguilon's pass.

He curls it first-time but it's fairly routine for Lukasz Fabianski, despite the pace on the ball.

Reguilon is now in the book too for a very slight shove on Jarrod Bowen. Bit harsh?

I hope that Tottenham wins the league cup to shut up the the simplistic narrative that winning a trophy is more important than exciting football. Then we can get a young progressive manager like Graham Potter and enjoy watching the team. It's annoying when people forget that sport is just a form of entertainment.

Jesse Lingard is fouled in the middle by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg but not until he's slipped it left to Declan Rice.

West Ham have numbers forward but Rice can't make the most of it. The referee comes back to book Hojbjerg.

It would be nice if Jose' just for a change tried something exciting. After all football is about entertainment. How about Son up front with Alli, Kane, and Bale behind? Attack is sometimes the best form of defence and it would give something for Moyes and his defence to think about.

Spurs try and get Erik Lamela on the ball but he's tackled by Issa Diop.

No space whatsoever. West Ham are looking very compact.

Tom McQuillin: The Mourinho hire, on the salary he’s on, is one of the worst decisions I’ve seen by a football club. We can’t afford to fire him which was always going to be a possibility when we hired him. How did those paid millions to make that decision not consider that risk?

Son Heung-min pulls away from Vladimir Coufal on the left and tees up Sergio Reguilon on the edge of the box.

He tries to shoot but he's off balance and swings a right leg at it.

Aaron Cresswell swings a corner in from the left and Craig Dawson gets a strong head on it.

It's straight down the middle but there's plenty of power on it so Hugo Lloris has to tip it over the bar.

The second corner is flicked on by Issa Diop but it's behind Tomas Soucek.
