First signs of life from St Mirren as Jamie McGrath tests Colin Doyle from 25 yards out, and despite the effort being straight down the goalkeeper's throat he didn't look particularly confident gathering it.

Struggling for openings at the Tony Macaroni Arena. Ali McCann gets away a shot in a crowded Livingston penalty area but it canons off a St Johnstone team-mate and trickles out of play.

Yet again Lawrence Shankland finds himself through on goal and tries to round Ross Laidlaw, but this time the County keeper gets a huge hand on the ball to stop the striker.

Great goalkeeping, but Shankland shouldn't be giving him the chance.

Dearie me. Connor McLennan has a fresh air swipe while in a really promising position in the Hibs box. Fraser Hornby made a nice near-post run to flick Matty Kennedy's cross into his path.

The onslaught continues at Celtic Park. David Turnbull collects an Albian Ajeti pass and has a shot deflected wide. Then Ajeti has a chance of his own but his looping header is easily saved by Liam Kelly.

Devante Cole wins a free-kick for Motherwell up the other end which gives the visitors respite, and Bevis Mugabi gets to the delivery but his header is weak and straight at Scott Bain.

A raking ball in behind almost finds Aberdeen striker Fraser Hornby, but Darren McGregor manages to recover quick enough to slide in and clear. Nice ball from Jonny Hayes, though.

Not much to report in the opening 15 minutes as St Mirren and Kilmarnock both ease their way into the game. Dean Lyness looks slightly shaky in the hosts' goal, but Killie haven't been able to really test him yet.

Hibs keeper Ofir Marciano does well to parry Ross McCrorie's thumping shot from just inside the box. It was a nice lay-off from Lewis Ferguson initially, and Fraser Hornby almost manages to follow up.

Straight up the other end, Lawrence Shankland has to do better.

Jeandro Fuchs' header slips through the County backline and the Scotland striker is through on goal. He tries to go round Ross Laidlaw rather than shooting, but the United man gets it all wrong and runs the ball out of play.

This time last season he buries that.

St Johnstone forward Chris Kane needs treatment deep inside the Livingston half after coming off worst in a challenge with Max Stryjek.

The goalkeeper was off his line to make a clearance and caught Kane with his follow through after booting the ball upfield.

Celtic are in the mood today. Former Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull collects an attempted clearance, has time and space to chest the ball down, then juggle it, before hitting a high shot at goal which goalkeeper Liam Kelly turns behind.

County winger Jermaine Hylton comes in off the left has a pop at goal, forcing Benjamin Siegrist to dive across and parry away.

Ooft, another awful backpass at Easter Road, this time from Hibs! Paul McGinn leaves one well short, and Jonny Hayes scampers after it. Fortunately for the home side, Ofir Marciano is alert and sprints off his line to clear.

Almost a second goal for Celtic. Odsonne Edouard gets in between two defenders to meet Greg Taylor's cross, and the Frenchman should really score, but he flashes his header wide of the post.

Joe Lewis springs into action to brilliantly deny Chris Cadden! The Hibs winger capitalised on a scuffed backpass by Greg Leigh, and he was one-on-one with the keeper, but Lewis gets a strong hand up to deny him.

Leigh has now limped off with an injury. Not in embarrassment, we presume.
