  1. 'All about our mentality' - Gerrardpublished at 11:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

Speaking to Sky Sport, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard said:

"Brian always has his team fired up so we expect a tough game. It's all about our approach and mentality going into the game. We've come here and performed ever so well previously but that doesn't matter it's all about today.

    On team changes:

"Steven Davis has gone above and beyond so he had to come out sometime. Bogani has been fantastic in training so he deveres his chance as does Cedric [Itten}."

  2. Chance for squad players to shine?published at 11:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

Bongani Zungu, and Cedric Itten come in to the starting XI for Rangers today. Neither are first-choice picks, and so this an opportunity for them to show what they can do with the Europa League last-16 tie with Antwerp looming.

Zungu has shown some nice touches, while Itten has been steadily improving after a slow start. New signing Jack Simpson is also on the bench. Will they shine this afternoon?

  4. Anderson the man?published at 11:47 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

Hamilton are in need of a goalscorer, and they've turned to Aberdeen's Bruce Anderson as the man to fire them to safety.

The 22-year-old has found games hard to come by at Pittodrie, and has had loan spells at Dunfermline and Ayr in the Championship in the last year.

This is a big opportunity for him to prove he can perform at Premiership level.

He's netted against Rangers before, too. A last-minute equaliser for Aberdeen at Pittodrie in Steven Gerrard's first match in charge.

  5. Roofe on bench as two-game ban loomspublished at 11:42 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

Rangers striker Kemar Roofe has been cited by the Scottish FA for his tackle on Murray Davidson in Wednesday night's clash at Ibrox.

He faces a two-game ban, unless Rangers decide to appeal and win the case.

I don't think there's much doubt that Roofe should have been sent off for the tackle, rather than yellow carded. Should we be re-refereeing games, though? Where does it end? Tweet us your thoughts @BBCSportScot.

  6. Rangers on title marchpublished at 11:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

Sunday, 21 March. That's the day that must be etched into the calendars of all Rangers fans.

Should they match Celtic's results between now and that date, then Steven Gerrard's side can end their title drought at the home of their rivals.

What a prospect for the club.

Away from this game, we're reporting that Tommy Wright is in negotiations with Kilmarnock to become their next manager.

  8. Accies aim to stay in touchpublished at 11:30 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Hamilton v Rangers (12:00)

On the back of Wednesday's late defeat by nearest rivals Ross County, this is not the game Hamilton would have wanted. No matter what anyone at the club might say.

They're four points behind County now, albeit with three games in hand. They need to start picking up wins soon, though. Last season's historic win at Ibrox can provide inspiration.

But this is a different Rangers team from this time last year. As the 8-0 mauling they inflicted on Accies in November shows.
