HALF-TIME - St Mirren 0-1 Celticpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February 2021
That's that for the first half. Not a classic, but Tom Rogic's fine strike has Celtic in front.
Hopefully it improves as a spectacle after the break.

Quote MessageIt was St Mirren's best opportunity of the match. Connolly was always stretching but he has got to hit the target from there.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Excellent defending by Celtic's Jonjoe Kenny, as he slides in to prevent Dylan Connolly from getting a free shot in from 12 yards. Better from St Mirren.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Tom Rogic has another effort from distance, but it takes a deflection and Jak Alnwick can gather.
It's not been great from either side since the goal really.

Quote MessageWhen Celtic get to 30, 40 yards out, they're not going anywhere. They're hitting bodies and can't get in behind.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Celtic are really narrow in attack at the moment. They move the ball up towards the final third, and Odsonne Edouard, Albian Ajeti, Tom Rogic, and David Turnbull are all standing between St Mirren's defensive line.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Kristoffer Ajer loves a rampaging run from deep. He manages to get into the box, produce a stepover and a nutmeg, but just takes it too far and Jak Alnwick mops up.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
And, no response this time for St Mirren! Celtic striker Albian Ajeti is flagged offside after peeling off Joe Shaughnessy to race in behind.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Celtic with far more of the ball than they had in the first 10 minutes, but they're not really cutting St Mirren open and creating chances.
St Mirren have corner here, a chance for a response.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Scott Brown flies in on Ryan Flynn, and St Mirren get the free-kick. Probably should have been a yellow card for the Celtic captain.
Don Robertson's let a few things slide this evening.
Ilkay Durmus delivers the free-kick, but Celtic clear comfortably.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
Celtic have upped the tempo now and are knocking the ball about. St Mirren have to defend well, with a last-ditch tackle on Albian Ajeti required.
St Mirren 0-1 Celtic
So after a bright start, St Mirren have now lost their best player and are a goal down.
Kyle McAllister is on for Jamie McGrath now, by the way.
Celtic's Callum McGregor is booked for a nasty challenge on Ethan Erhahon.
Tom Rogic
Gorgeous.
Celtic haven't been great but it's a bit of magic from the Wizard of Oz.
He birls round after a throw in, knocks the ball into the box and slams a left-foot shot beyond Jak Alnwick. Pure quality.
St Mirren 0-0 Celtic
This is a troubling sight for St Mirren, as Jamie McGrath limps off with his arm wrapped in his jersey - a makeshift sling. Must be a shoulder injury.
He's been sensational for them this season.
St Mirren 0-0 Celtic
We've only played 10 minutes, but if you knew absolutely nothing about Scottish football and had to pick out which team was the nine-in-a-row champions, you'd probably point to the team in black and white.
Celtic get a free-kick after Ethan Erhahon's handball from St Mirren's corner.
St Mirren 0-0 Celtic
Callum McGregor's high cross is fumbled by Jak Alnwick, but he was nudged by David Turnbull. Silly from the Celtic midfielder, Alnwick was in a bit of trouble under the high ball.
St Mirren 0-0 Celtic
St Mirren have certainly started confidently. Looks set up for a keenly fought contest!
Jamie McGrath fires a looping volley high and wide. Impressive start.
St Mirren 0-0 Celtic
Nae chance of a rest for me, another 90 minutes ahead.

St Mirren v Celtic (20:00)
Celtic's Achilles heel this season has been their record against the rest of the current top six.
Neil Lennon's side have an identical record to Rangers when it comes to beating the current bottom half, but the last time they beat a side sitting in the top half just now, was 27 September, when they scudded Hibernian 3-0.
Since then, they have taken five points from the last 21 available against Rangers, Hibs, Aberdeen, Livingston, and St Mirren.
St Mirren v Celtic (20:00)
St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin was not shy in saying he wants his side to produce a carbon copy of their performance at Celtic Park 11 days ago, when they came away with a 2-1 victory.
They are the only team to beat both halves of the Old Firm this season, and increasingly look like a side destined for the top six.
Having said that, Goodwin was also crystal clear in his press conference this week that he doesn't want anyone in his squad getting too far above their station. You suspect the Irishman is pretty good at nipping that sort of thing in the bud. Quickly.
