  1. HALF-TIME St Mirren 0-0 Hamiltonpublished at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

Despite there being no goals, it's been an entertaining contest in Paisley.

The away side started the brighter, but a string of superb saves from Ryan Fulton and the woodwork has prevented Brian Rice's going in at the break behind.

Brian Easton comically headed against his own crossbar before Richard Tait saw a low left-footed finish strike the inside of the far post.

  2. CLOSE!published at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

David Turnbull almost lashes in another, this time from just on the edge of the box.

Nice hold-up play from Odsonne Edouard to tee him up.

  3. Postpublished at 18:45 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

Joe Lewis prevents Odsonne Edouard from doubling Celtic's lead. The champions have dropped off a bit in the last 10 minutes, but that was a reminder of their threat.

  4. Competitive but lacking chancespublished at 18:45 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

The home side have come closet with a set piece that bobbled off the crossbar twice and was eventually cleared then moments ago Richard Tait dug out a low left footer which bounced back off the post after nice build up play.

He came very close again when his flick from a cross was superbly held out by Ryan Fulton.

Both sides have been committed to the cause but are often struggling with that moment of quality in the final third to turn possession of the ball into clear cut opportunity.

This game badly needs a goal to open it up but St Mirren look the more likely.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

    Unbelievable save from Ryan Fulton!

Again it's Richard Tait who causes the problems as he flicks an effort towards the far post, but Fulton almost claws it off the line.

The Accies keeper has been superb so far.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

Florian Kamberi's low drive cracks the post!

Aberdeen are now over 500 minutes without a goal...

  7. Campbell on the runpublished at 18:39 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen seem to have woken up. A brilliant run to the by-line by Dean Campbell results in him flashing the ball right across the Celtic goal, but nobody in a red shirt can finish it.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

Another effort hits Accies' woodwork, but this time it's from a St Mirren player as Richard Tait sees a low left-footed effort hit the inside of the far post.

So close for the home side.

  9. Kamberi's faint appealspublished at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen striker Florian Kamberi is claiming for a penalty as Stephen Welsh blocks his attempted shot.

It looked to hit the young defender's hand, but they were down by his side really. Kamberi had no options and I think he's played for the penalty there.

Meanwhile, Ross McCrorie is getting some treatment. But he's carrying on.

  10. Postpublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

David Turnbull fires a free-kick over. The former Motherwell man couldn't repeat his fine strike from earlier.

Celtic are in total control, though.

  11. ouch!

One Martin for anotherpublished at 18:29 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

Brain Rice has been forced into an early change as centre-back Aaron Martin makes way for namesake Scott Martin.

Looks like Hakeem Odoffin will drop back into defence.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

That would have been a truly ridiculous goal.

A mix up in the Accies box results in Brian Easton heading back towards his own goal, seeing the ball bounce off the top of the bar twice before going out for a corner.

  13. Passive Donspublished at 18:22 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen's Lewis Ferguson won the ball off Ismaila Soro and charged to the edge of the box, but the Celtic midfielder gets back well to make up for his error.

Better from Aberdeen in terms of pressure. They've stood off Celtic and been quite passive so far.

Aberdeen were spectators as that one built up. The organisation was dreadful.

  15. St Mirren up the pressurepublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

It's been a lively opening in Paisley.

This time Lee Erwin has a pop from range, it takes the slightest deflection and whistles just past Ryan Fulton's top-right corner.

  16. goal

GOAL Celtic 1-0 Aberdeenpublished at 18:14 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    David Turnbull

    What a hit son.

David Turnbull picks the ball up about 30 yards out, and smashes a low drive right into the bottom corner.

It was one of those knuckle-ball type shots that barely moved in the air. Arrowed into the net. Lovely.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:13 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

    Big save from Ryan Fulton!

Ilkay Durmus is slipped behind the Accies defence on the left. The winger unleashes a left-footed drive across goal but Fulton gets a strong hand to it.

  18. Dons threatenpublished at 11 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

A good chance for Aberdeen! Ryan Christie had his pocket picked on halfway by Dean Campbell, who plays it to Florian Kamberi.

The Aberdeen striker slips it past Stephen Welsh and races into the box, but his strike is easily held by Scott Bain.

Kamberi could have played in Campbell to his left. Better from the visitors, though.

  19. Terrific Turnbullpublished at 9 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen

David Turnbull's favoured chip pass almost falls perfectly for Ryan Christie, but the Scotland forward can't quite get hold of it.

The Celtic midfielder loves that one.

  20. Upbeat Acciespublished at 18:08 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2021

    St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton

Hugely positive start from the away side as Marios Ogkmpoe forces Jak Alnwick into an early save before Lee Hodson gets in behind the St Mirren backline and sees a strike blocked behind.

Brian Rice will be encouraged by his side's showing so far.
