Samuel Knight: When was the last time a WBA and Wolves player played for England in the starting 11 for a competitive match?

Keith Chapman: Some people being a bit disrespectful towards Andorra...if they're playing for their country, they must be somewhat good. Okay, they're not the best football nation ever but they might be able to make you look stupid on the pitch. Always respect your opponents.

They'll be dancing on the streets of Tipton, Samuel.

  2. 'It's the best birthday present'published at 16:43 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

Patrick Bamford, speaking to ITV, about making his England debut on his 28th birthday: "It's the best present. I always believe in myself. There were probably times I doubted it [whether he would play for England] but I've always kept going.

"If I can do half the things Kalvin Phillips has done I'll be happy. I will play my normal game and try and be in the box to try and force myself on defenders."

  3. Danger menpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England v Andorra (17:00 BST)

So who is the danger man for England to keep an eye on?

Well, defender Marc Vales netted both of their goals in their 2-0 win over San Marino, becoming only the second player in the country’s entire history to score more than once in a game, after Cristian Martínez in November 2019 against Albania.

Their number nine is the excellently named Aaron Sanchez Alburquerque. If the fans don't sing The King of Rock n Roll by Prefab Sprout in his honour they are missing a serious trick.

  5. Reaction in Hungarypublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    Nick Thorpe, BBC News

Hungarians have reacted with a mixture of anger, shame and defiance to allegations of racist abuse. 'Fantastic atmosphere, 2nd half meltdown' read the headline in the main sports paper, Nemzeti Sport.

The right-wing Fidesz government has been in power for 11 years, and is proud of its open, nationalist stance. That has gone down well with fans, knows as the Ultras, in their uniform black T-shirts. Prime Minister Viktor Orban and some of his ministers end their speeches with the football slogan 'Go for it, Hungarians!'

"The Hungarian FA should complain to Fifa… that the England team is making political propaganda out of a sports event," read one comment on the pro-government Mandiner website.

But there was also disgust at the behaviour, especially the pelting of Raheem Sterling.

"Don't pretend that the darling Hungarian fans would never do such a thing, we have our share of brain-dead, hateful jerks. Ban them for life - if there is video or audio evidence," read another comment on the same site.

Fifa has opened disciplinary proceedings after racist abuse was aimed at England players during Thursday's 4-0 win over Hungary.

Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham were both targeted.

England players were also pelted with objects in the second half and a flare was thrown on the pitch by the home fans at Puskas Arena.

England condemned the abuse as "completely unacceptable".

The trip to Hungary wasn't all joy and success for England. Some of their players again encountered racism from fans - something some Hungarian fans have been guilty of in the past, but are, of course, not alone in committing. The world still has serious issues to deal with, England very much included.

Here is some of the fall-out exclusive to the events in Hungary...

Jack Hunter: It's Andorra not Italy, you should be able to play Pickford up front and still win comfortably.

Phil: Southgate doing what Klopp should have done years ago and starting Trent in midfield. To be fair, I could probably hold my own in midfield for England today.

  12. 'Wholesale changes is a sign of trust'published at 16:18 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Wembley

It's a good time for Patrick Bamford to come in for his first appearance in this type of game.

It's surprised me there are 11 changes but it's a sign Gareth Southgate really trusts the application of his players.

I know it's Andorra and it's at home, but it's a sign of how much he trusts the group.

So we all think Trent Alexander-Arnold is playing in midfield, right?

I mean, he essentially does for Liverpool really, they push their full-backs so high.

  17. Will Bamford score on his debut?published at 16:09 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter at Wembley

For Patrick Bamford it really is the perfect birthday present. Gareth Southgate knows him well from his time with the Under-21s.

Against Andorra you would think it is the perfect opportunity to follow recent debutants like Ollie Watkins and Callum Wilson to score on your England debut.

There is a feel-good factor with the national side. Given the level of the opposition, to get 65,000 inside Wembley Stadium against Andorra is a terrific effort.

It'll be one of the biggest crowds in this round of World Cup qualifiers.

  18. St. Patrick's daypublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England v Andorra (17:00 BST)

What a day this is for Patrick Bamford. He turns 28 and also makes his international bow. He always had the talent, but it wasn't that long ago his career was drifting somewhat in the Championship.

But his improvement as a player and a line-leading striker at Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa has been truly magnificent.

He netted 17 times last season in his club's return to the Premier League, has picked up where he left off this campaign, and will soon have an international cap to show for all his hard work.

    Thoroughly deserved it is too.
