    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Chance to clinch it for Spain as Alvaro Morata goes free.

    Luxembourg 0-2 Republic of Ireland

    Big tackle!

John Egan times his intervention in the middle to perfection to prevent Leandro Martins getting in for what would surely have been a scoreline-altering finish.

  5. Postpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Starting to feel like it isn't going to be Serbia's night as Dusan Vlahovic's shot inside the box deflects off a defender and to a Serbia team-mate, but he's offside.

Credit to this Portugal defence. They've kept their opponents quiet in this second half.

  6. Postpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-2 Republic of Ireland

    Ireland are enjoying themselves now.

Callum Robinson should make it 3-0 but he can't get the loft on his shot on the turn and it is saved by Ralph Schon.

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

If Sweden are sent into the play-offs in March, defender Emil Krafth will miss the first match.

He's shown a yellow for a late, late challenge.

  8. Postpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-2 Republic of Ireland

That is a second international goal for Chiedozie Ogbene. He's had a decent game too. Full of running and purpose.

Something positive for Ireland to take away from this campaign.

  9. Postpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

The Manchester United connection almost pays off as Bruno Fernandes clips a ball over the top for Cristiano Ronaldo but Predrag Rajkovic races out to gather ahead of the Portugal forward.

Now they can really do some singing!

Jeff Hendrick and Jason Knight combine, with the latter flicking a great ball inside, to set up Chiedozie Ogbene for a neat, chipped finish.

    Boy did he enjoy that.

    Shane Duffy

    The big man delivers!

Shane Duffy is having a magnificent season for Brighton and he continues that here with the opening goal. It is a header at the back post from Josh Cullen's free-kick.

Home keeper Ralph Schon had a right old flap at it.

VAR checked it thoroughly but it stands.

  17. ACROBATIC EFFORTpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

    Wow.

I was very nearly made to eat my words as Sweden sub Mattias Svanberg tries an audacious overhead kick from miles out.

Just over. That would have won the Puskas Award for the next 10 years combined.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

A couple of substitutions for Portugal as Joao Palhinha and Bruno Fernandes come on for Joao Moutinho and Bernardo Silva. It's Fernandes' 40th cap for Portugal.

Milos Veljkovic, who injured himself with an awkward clearance, is replaced by Uros Spajic for Serbia.

  19. Postpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Ireland keep pressing and Ralph Schon is drawn into a save he didn't really need to make, diving out to push James McClean's cross behind for a corner.

Josh Cullen swings that corner in but Shane Duffy us penalised for a foul. The quality continues to drain out of this contest.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Now that's a surprise. Forward Emil Forsberg has been Sweden's brightest player tonight, but he makes way for midfielder Mattias Svanberg.

Dejan Kulusevski is also on for Robin Quaison.
