    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

The referee brings to an end a great first 45 minutes. Advantage Portugal as things stand, but Serbia are far from out of this.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

No minutes added on by German referee Felix Brych.

We're level at the break. As things stand, Spain will top the group. Sweden will overtake them with a win.

It's the visitors who have had the pick of the chances too.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

It hasn't been terrible. It hasn't been great either, though.

  4. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Now Dusan Vlahovic has the ball in the back of the net for Serbia, but the flag goes up for offside. He was indeed well off.

    Cracking game, this.

  5. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Another good save from Ralph Schon!

Josh Cullen's corner is met by the head of John Egan, forcing the Luxembourg keeper to tip his effort away.

  6. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Are the goalkeepers trying to out calamity each other? Now Predrag Rajkovic spills a cross and there's panic in the Serbia box as Diogo Jota shoots but his shot is blocked before Danilo Pereira heads over.

  7. CLOSE!published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

    So, so nearly the opener.

A Sweden move creates space on the left and the cross in falls to Emil Forsberg, who takes a swing at the ball as it drops.

His volley from a tight angle flies just wide. That would have put the cat among the pigeons.

  8. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

    Save!

Luxembourg nearly shoot themselves in the foot by repeatedly giving the ball away. The second wayward pass out from Leandro Martins goes to Chiedozie Ogbene, but his fierce drive is tipped over by Ralph Schon.

  9. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

It's all Serbia now and there's a nervous atmosphere around the stadium with five minutes to go until the break.

  10. Postpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

    Half-chance for James McClean.

The ball drops to him via a deflected clearance from Luxembourg but he snatches at it and slices it well over the bar.

  11. Postpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Another chance for Serbia as Dusan Tadic drives a low free kick through the wall but this time Rui Patricio makes sure he is properly behind it and makes the save.

Good spell for Serbia at the moment.

  12. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Ireland are certainly getting bodies in the way when Luxembourg get themselves into positions to shoot. Shane Duffy does just that to stop Leandro Martins' effort testing Gavin Bazunu.

  13. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Pass, pass, pass, pass, shot from range off target.

It's the same old story for Spain. They're dominating possession but not creating anything meaningful.

  14. goal

GOAL - Portugal 1-1 Serbiapublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Dusan Tadic (33 mins)

    Now things get interesting!

Rui Patricio won't want to see the replay of this at all as Dusan Tadic thumps a fierce effort from just outside the box that Patricio flaps at and the ball bounces over the line.

Still Portugal finishing top at the moment, but Serbia now just need the one goal to snatch first place. Game on.

  15. Postpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Danel Sinani finds a yard to have a pop from range but his effort is blocked.

Not a lot of quality in this game.

  16. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Ireland are certainly seeing more of the ball here. But they're yet to find a really testing final ball to put this home defence under serious pressure. A few times they've opted for a long ball in the direction of their quick forward trio but just over-hit them.

  17. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-0 Serbia

Dusan Tadic is the king of the assists for Serbia but this isn't one to add to the collection as he gives Rui Patrício an easy catch with a disappointing free kick.

No team have ever beaten Spain, in Spain in a World Cup qualifier. Ever.

    50 wins and 10 draws.

If Sweden want to guarantee a spot at the 2022 World Cup, they must do that tonight.

    They're growing into this match.

  19. Postpublished at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

    Save!

Gavin Bazunu drawn into action to get across and tip away a deflected effort from Olivier Thill. Good stop. It's a little reminder of the threat the home side pose too.

  20. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-0 Serbia

We're in a bit of a quiet period of the game now with Serbia enjoying plenty of possession but not getting much joy against the Portugal defence.
